Chapter-16

                   I can't sleep, why?

          This happens most of the time.

          I'm I even awake?

                     Oh my gosh.

I took a deep breath and bought myself to a sitting position, wrapped around by a blanket. It was half pass 12 am.

This is the time when ghost comes around right?........ to hunt for kids..........Levi, don't scare yourself and yeah, you are not a kid anymore, you are eighteen, eighteen....... Will Annabelle be among them?.................Shut up Levi no.

My body got chills so I walked around to warm up a little.

Damn, it's cold.

I walked towards the window and stared outside.

Welcome........winter.

"Mr Wang is getting married" I reminded myself, "Tomorrow, Oh...no, it's today"

Isn't it wonderful, it felt like I was the new girl just yesterday at Lawrance high and just yesterday Mr Wang was a bachelor and the refine gentleman that I always admired but than suddenly I'm not the new girl anymore and Mr Wang is getting married and It's just few months left for me to finish highschool. Wonderful how this invincible thing called time takes us further very fast and how it changes everything and creates a big difference between yesterday and today.

It's so different now, people had changed, people had left, sometimes emptiness fills the room and than sometimes there is no room left for emptiness. It's just the way life is, unpredictable.

"Psst, psst" I heard a sound coming from outside. I pushed the window open only to find Miles standing on the yard, waving at me with a grin on his face.

I silently sneaked out of the house and my happiness grew as I realize his presence getting closer to me. I ran towards him and gave him a tight hug.

"What are you doing here?" my voice was so low.

"I couldn't sleep so I came out to get some air than I saw your room light was shinning so bright and I saw your shadow so I was tempted to call you" he whispered into my ear.

"Yes, I couldn't sleep too" I said as I loosen my hug.

"An hour, just an hour" he hold my hand, "With me........will you?"

"An hour, with you in this chilly air" I fixed my eyes on his.

I studied his features from his eyes to his lips.

You've grown into a handsome man, my love, but still the same as the day I first met you.

We walked to the park hand in hand. The moment I saw the swings at the park, the child in me suddenly woke up.

"Yay" I shouted and ran towards the swing. But than, without realizing I was on the ground.

"Are you okay?" he sounded manly.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine" I smiled as I stood up and set on the swing.

It was still dark and there were no signs of any living being except for the perfect guy  beside me breathing in silence.

"So..............something you wanna say? Because I can see a lot through your eyes"

He nodded, "There is a secret I wanted to tell you"

"You have a secret I don't know about?" I asked and giggled.

"This is the one thing I regret not telling you from the beginning and I asked Drey not to tell you about it too" he said in one breath.
