Virgil leaned over the counter, looking for his brother. "Remy?" He asked. No reply. Virgil rolled his eyes. No doubt that this was his brother playing a trick on him. Or just actually doing his job.

"Um, excuse me?" He asked, gaining the attention of the Starbucks worker at the till.

"Oh, hi Virgil." They said, grinning.

"Hi Alex. Could I get an iced green tea?"

"Sure, anything else?" They asked, typing in the order.

"No thanks." Virgil said, smiling slightly again and getting out his wallet.

"Okay, that'll be £4.50."

Virgil looked at Alex sceptically. "For one drink?" He asked. The barista nodded. Virgil sighed. "Well, I guess it pays." He mumbled, handing over a handful of coins.

"To go or to stay?" Alex asked, putting the money in the till.

"To go. Too crowded in here." Virgil said, looking around the shop. He noticed that a boy with bright green eyes was looking at him with his head tilted to the side. Virgil turned away from the boy.

"Hey, Remy!" He said, finally finding his brother.

"Heya Virge." Remy said, grinning and putting his sunglasses back on, hiding his dark brown eyes.

"Were you chatting to Emile again?"

"What's it to you, gurl?" Remy asked. Virgil rolled his eyes and didn't answer the question.

"Look, can you pick Issac up today? I've got somewhere I need to be and he still won't walk home by himself."

Remy sighed and checked his phone for the time. "Fine." He said eventually.

"Thanks Remy. You're a life-saver." Virgil said, smiling.

"You owe me." Remy grumbled as Virgil grabbed his drink. "Tea? Again?"

"Yeah, does it bother you?" Virgil asked, smirking slightly. He could practically feel the eye-roll through Remy's glasses.

"I don't understand how you can drink that leaf water."

"Same with your bean juice." Virgil checked his watch slightly. "I gotta go. Don't forget about Issac."

"I won't, I won't."

Virgil smiled slightly and left the Starbucks.

"There, he just left." Roman hissed. "D'you think he caught me looking at him?"

"Of course he did." Janus muttered. "You were staring at him like he had two heads. We all saw it."

"I wasn't asking you, Snake-Face." Roman said, dropping his eyes from the door to glare at Janus.

"Roman, why don't you go after him?" Remus asked. "Talk to him."

"He'll think I'm insane. I want to win this bet the right way."

Remus sighed. His brother really was stupid sometimes. "Roman, if he used to have a crush on you, don't you think he'd know who you are?"

"I guess." Roman mumbled before looking at Remus sharply. "Why are you helping me?"

Remus started laughing. "Because this is going to crash and burn and, oh, that'll be fun to watch."

Roman glared at Remus. "God, what did I do to deserve a brother like you?"

Remus opened his mouth to say something but Janus cut over him. "I think Rem is right, Roman."

"Of course you take his side in the matter."

"I'm not finished, listen to me." Janus said sharply, marking his page and closing the book. "If you aren't going to talk to Virgil today, at least talk to him on Monday. Also, shouldn't bets have time limits?"

"I forgot about that!" Remus said, shooting up in his chair as if he'd been electrocuted. "Roman, the bet has a two month time limit."

"Since when?"

"Since just now." Remus grinned. "That should give you enough time to get him in bed with you."

"Jesus Christ Remus." Roman said. "Is that all you think about? Actually, don't answer that."

Janus checked his watch. "I need to go." He said, standing up. "Dad wanted me home by five."

"Mkay. Bye Jan." Remus said, grinning. Janus waved slightly before leaving. Remus turned his attention back to Roman. "So?"

"I've already said I'll talk to him." Roman protested.

"Hey, Virge?"

Virgil jumped as someone tapped his back. "Janus?"

Janus smiled slightly. Virgil narrowed his eyes and turned his back on the other boy. "What do you want Janus?" He asked, already walking away.

"Just a heads up, Roman's probably going to talk to you on Monday."

Virgil turned back to Janus, confused and suspicious. "And why should I trust that information?"

Janus shrugged. "Because it's the truth."

Virgil laughed slightly, not believing a word Janus said. "Sure it is." He said before walking away.
