"Hey Storm Cloud."
Virgil jumped a little and then laughed. "Is that what you're calling me now?" He asked.
Roman laughed. "Yeah, why? Is it a problem?"
Virgil sighed and shrugged. "Don't you think it's a little," he waved his hand around, trying to find the right word, "lovey-dovey for people who have only just been on their first date?"
"And let's not forget," Roman leaned slightly closer to Virgil, "had their first kiss."
Virgil blushed slightly and laughed, moving away from Roman slightly. "Anyway, what d'you want Princey?"
"Your number?" Roman asked hopefully. Virgil shrugged.
"Why not. We've already gone out."
"Yes." Roman said, getting his phone out. "Okay so, V-i-r-g-i-l and what emoji d'you want?"
"You use emojis?" Virgil asked disbelievingly. Roman nodded and Virgil laughed. "Fine. Um.. little storm cloud emoji since that's what you're calling me now."
"Aannndd number?"
"Um..." Virgil got his phone out and checked his contact. "0732 666 549."
Roman nodded and smiled. "Okay, you should be getting a text from me now."
Virgil checked his messages and a dark blush dusted his cheeks. " 'Will you be my boyfriend'?" He asked disbelievingly. Roman nodded sheepishly, blushing pink. Virgil rolled his eyes and smiled. "That's such a cliche way to ask me. But yes, I'd love to."
Roman burst through his bedroom door and pointed at his brother in triumph.
"Ha, Remus. Ha! I'm winning! He's my boyfriend and I feel nothing!"
Remus chuckled slightly and finished lacing up his shoes. "You've not won yet, Roman, don't get so cocky." He checked his phone and shoved it in his bag, going to the door. "I'm going to Janus'. Tell mum that I'll be back by nine."
"Or you could just go live there." Roman said hopefully. Remus laughed.
"No such luck. Janus' dad doesn't know I exist, he wouldn't be too pleased with me."
"Are you okay, Rem?"
"Hm?" Remus looked over at his boyfriend, his legs thrown over the back of the couch and his head resting on the floor. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"
Janus shrugged, crossing his legs underneath him. "You're just not screaming any of the lyrics along with this. And it's your favourite film." His eyes clouded with worry. "What's wrong?"
Remus sighed. "It's nothing." Janus tilted his head to the side and Remus sighed again. "I don't think this whole bet idea is working. Roman's no different. He's just not in my space all the time."
Janus held his arms out to Remus. "Come on." Remus turned himself right-side-up and snuggled into Janus' chest, his head fitting perfectly on Janus' shoulder.
"It's going to be fine." Janus promised, kissing Remus' head. "And if Roman gets anything out of this experience, it'll either be a boyfriend or a weight of guilt at breaking someone's heart."
Remus made a little 'hm' noise, turning his head towards Janus' neck and closing his eyes.
"And don't try anything." Janus warned and Remus laughed.
"Okay." He said sadly. "Love you, Jan."
Janus hugged his boyfriend closer.
"I love you too, idiot."
Sorry this chapter is so short, I'm really tired from a full day at school. And yes, most of this was just Demus fluff but can you blame me? I love these two idiots.
Bye,
Queenie
