Remus still hadn't gotten over the fact that Virgil said he wouldn't agree to a date with Roman. And he wasn't going to let Roman forget it either.

"Remus, would you shut up?" Roman asked, using all his will-power to not hit Remus.

"Nope!" Remus yelled, giggling madly. "You're gonna get friend-zoned. You're gonna get friend-zoned. You're gonna get frie-"

"And you will get a punch to the mouth if you don't shut up soon!" Roman yelled, finally losing his patience. Remus laughed again.

"Oh please, you're a thespian. You can't punch to save your life."

"Wanna bet?" Roman growled. Remus clapped his hands and nodded.

"Oh yeah! Then I can win more money."

Roman growled and sat down in the spinny-chair by the desk. He pressed the heels of his hands into his closed eyes and focused on counting to ten, trying to calm down and block out any noise that Remus was making.

"I'm not going to get friend-zoned." He said finally, sitting up straight in the chair. "I'm going to win this bet, Remus, and I'm going to rub it in your face."

He stood up, grabbing his coat from the coat-hook on the door.

"Hey. Where are you going?" Remus whined, not done with his gloating.

"Out. For a walk." Roman growled, stomping down the stairs and yelling to his mum that he'd be back by 8. Then, the door opened and closed. Remus sighed. There was no one to gloat to now.

Roman focused on calming himself down as he walked around the silent park. Remus was just being a dick as per-usual. And what did he know about Virgil anyway? I mean, everyone can lie. Virgil could've just been lying to Remus. Or he hasn't recognised his feelings yet.

"Yeah." Roman thought. "That must be it." He sighed and looked around at where he was. He had made his way to the centre of the park purely by muscle memory. There was a huge fountain here, the bottom of it littered with pennies and 5p coins. Roman had played here often when he was younger, chasing his brother and being chased by his brother. Who always somehow had a stick. A small smile ghosted over his lips as he remembered insisting that the fountain was actually magic and how he would always bring a little of his pocket money here every time they came.

He couldn't remember the last time the park had been this peaceful.

"It's nice here." Roman decided. "In the quiet."

What did Remus know about Virgil, anyway? No, Roman would win this bet. He was sure of it.

"And if I don't, well that won't be so bad either." He thought before mentally shaking himself. "What are you talking about, Roman? You will win this bet. Then you'll just leave Virgil alone. That's what you both want, isn't it? You want to win this bet and he wants to be left alone. That's all."

Virgil was woken up by someone shaking his shoulder.

"Who's that?" He mumbled sleepily, rolling over in bed, looking out over his room.

"Virgey?" A small, scared voice asked. Virgil sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes. Reaching over to his window, he opened the curtains, letting the pale moonlight colour his room a dull grey.

"Issac? What're you doing up so late?" He asked, getting out of bed and kneeling next to his younger brother.

"Bad dream." Issac said, hugging Virgil suddenly and mumbling into Virgil's shoulder. Virgil carefully patted his younger brother on the back, getting an idea.

"Hey, you wanna watch a film?" He asked. Issac nodded his head and even in the semi-light, Virgil could see the excited spark in his eyes.

"Okay. Stay here and build a pillow fort. Be quiet about it, as well." Virgil whispered, padding out of his room.

Virgil found himself in a cramped position, sitting cross-legged on the floor, having to bow his head to avoid breaking the low blanket ceiling Issac had created. Issac was leaning against Virgil's arm, his eyes glued to the small screen of the DVD player. Virgil had put on Beauty and the Beast, knowing it would calm down Issac and blow whatever horrors he had dreamed from his mind. As Tale as Old as Time started, Virgil let his mind drift away from the film.

Unsurprisingly, Virgil's mind drifted back to Roman. Specifically, what had flickered between them at Roman's house. There had been something there, in the air between them, Virgil was sure of it. Maybe it was something in Roman's eyes but there had been this moment of realisation for Virgil. But what had he realised? It hadn't been a conscious realisation and he couldn't remember what it had been.

Virgil shook his head slightly and focused back on the film. Belle had just seen his father in the mirror.

"Go to him." Issac mouthed along with the film, smiling. Virgil extracted his arm from underneath Issac's side and rapped it around his shoulders. Virgil laughed slightly as Issac shrugged Virgil's hand off. "No." Issac muttered, pouting. Virgil laughed slightly again and it clicked in his head.

"Oh shit." Virgil thought, a little panicked. "I've fallen back in love with Roman."
