Roman sighed, trying desperately to remember his lines for the next scene. Usually, this wouldn't be a problem but with the other... distractions that had gone on in his life, he hadn't been able to get into the mindset of his character very well.

"Stupid damn script." He hissed, annoyed.

"Hey, um, you need help?" A voice from near him piped up. Roman jumped and looked around. His eyes eventually landed on a boy dressed in all black with ginger-brown hair and dark eyes.

"Hm, oh no. Sorry." Roman said hurriedly, looking away.

"You sure?" The boy asked, getting up and sitting down a little closer to Roman. "Because I've seen you backstage before and you're never this stressed. Ever."

Roman sighed. "Well, I suppose I could use a little help."

The boy smiled and held his hand out for Roman's script. "So, I know who you are. You're Roman Winston, leading guy in almost all of the schools plays. And I'm Aaron. The disaster boy who only now had enough time and courage to 1, audition and 2, talk to you."

Roman laughed slightly. "Why would you be scared to talk to me? I know I'm prince-like but I'm not that intimidating."

Aaron laughed quietly. "It's just this sort of," he waved his hand around in Roman's direction, trying to find the right word, "aura about you, I guess. You can always command an audience's attention, even if you don't have any lines. And being the only one playing piano for the school production band, I admire that."

"Well, thank you, Aaron." Roman said, smiling for what felt like the first time in ages. Aaron nodded slightly then quickly looked down at the script.

"So, which scene are you having trouble with?" He asked, riffling through the script as carefully as he could. Actor's scripts were like their Holy books and he didn't want to tear a page or anything.

"Um... probably Scene 5? Like, I know my lines just not my ques exactly."

Aaron nodded slightly and back-tracked to Scene 5. "Oh, probably should've said this before but congrats on getting Kenicki." He muttered.

"Thanks."

"Here we go." Aaron said, finally landing on the page he was looking for.

"Okay, so... favourite part to play?"

Roman shrugged. "I think probably Orion in Little Shop Of Horrors."

"Why?" Aaron asked, confused. "Wasn't that when you broke your arm?"

"Yes," Roman said, pointing slightly, "but it was fun to play a villain. You know, change it up a little. And besides, having a broken arm meant I got out of most of the dancing so that was fun."

"Yeah but how did you put the gas mask on?" Aaron asked. "Because from my place in the orchestra pit, it looked very difficult."

"Yeah, that's probably the only downside. That mask was a nightmare." Roman said, laughing slightly. "But the show must go on. Come snow, come shine, come sleet. The show must go on!"

Aaron clicked his fingers and pointed at Roman. "Cosmo Brown."

Roman nodded, smiling widely and laughing.

"Aaron?" A small voice asked from the other end of the theatre. "Aaron?"

Both Aaron and Roman looked out to see a tall girl with her brown hair cut in a bob and wide, worried blue-green eyes. "Aaron?" She asked again, looking around the auditorium before her eyes finally settled on Roman and Aaron. "Aaron." She said again, calling him over this time.

"Coming Luella!" He yelled back before turning to Roman with a slightly guilty look on his face. "Sorry. That's my sister. Gotta go."

"Okay." Roman smiled and raised his hand as Aaron jumped off the stage and ran over to his sister. "Bye."

"Who was that?" Luella asked curiously, looking down at her younger brother.

"Roman." He muttered. Luella laughed slightly, pulling her book closer to her chest.

"You mean the Roman?" Aaron nodded sheepishly. "Oh you poor thing."

Hi! Luella is a real character in my life. She represents my Insecurities so please be nice to her or she will come for me.
Bye,
Queenie
