Virgil waved Issac off and put his headphones on, turning his music up. If there was something he hated about school (well, apart from everything) it was that hoodies weren't part of the school uniform and were actually banned. So, no hood to pull up over his headphones. Virgil sighed and closed his eyes, letting his body go into auto-pilot as he walked towards school.

A tap on Virgil's shoulder made him jump and whip around, pulling his headphones down around his neck. Virgil glared at the person who had made him jump.

"What do you want, Princey?" He asked, shaking his backpack out of Roman's grip.

"I just wanted to say sorry. For being weird yesterday." Roman said awkwardly. Virgil rolled his eyes.

"It's fine. I guess I'm sorry too." He said begrudgingly. "For saying... that I'd hurt you."

Virgil started to walk away, hoping to getting away from Roman. No such luck.

"You just protective over your brother?" Roman asked knowingly. Virgil contemplated putting his headphones back on but he knew he would get an earful from his dad if he was caught being anti-social. Instead, Virgil nodded curtly and started to walk faster. Roman still kept in-step with him.

"Princey, leave me alone." Virgil said through gritted teeth.

"Who ever said I was forcing conversation?"

"You are literally doing just that." Virgil sighed, deciding Roman wasn't worth his time. He put his headphones on again and turned his music up even more, walking away from Roman.

"And then you just left, just like that?"

Virgil growled, running his hands through his hair. "Yes, Alex. How many different ways do I have to explain that?" He sighed. "Look, I know you think I'm being anti-social-"

"You are."

"But," Virgil carried on as if Alex hadn't spoken, "Roman hasn't ever talked to me before. It's creeping me out."

"Oh, speak of the devil." Alex said, indicating to the door where, sure enough, Roman was standing, laughing at something his brother had just said.

"Oh shit." Virgil hissed. He turned his attention back to Alex. "Look, I gotta go. If you see Remy, tell him he owes me big time for picking up Issac."

"Will do." Alex smiled and waved slightly. "Bye Virge."

Virgil gave a slight two-fingered salute to Alex before grabbing his school bag and leaving the Starbucks, pushing past Roman before he could register who it was. Remus laughed slightly.

"So, how's the bet going?" He asked rhetorically. Roman glared at his brother.

"You know the answer to that." Roman slumped down in a chair, growling slightly. "It's a nightmare. Honestly, why did you have to choose him? Of all the guys in the world, why Sunshine over there?"

"Because I love watching you suffer, Roman." Remus said, laughing again and sitting down. "Where'd the nickname for Virgin come from?"

"First of all, don't call him that. If I'm to win this bet, both parties need to play fair," Roman said, hating how posh he'd sounded saying that, "and his last name's Summers and it's just an ironic nickname."

"Wasn't the last person you gave a nickname to your last boyfriend?" Remus asked, grinning manically. Roman groaned.

"Remus, for God's sakes, I was five last time I had a boyfriend! I gave everyone a nickname at five-years-old."

Remus giggled madly again. "Just keep telling yourself that, Roman."
