Roman opened the door and ran right up to his and Remus' shared bedroom, falling face-first onto the lower bunk.
"Fuck!" He yelled, punching his pillow. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
"Don't let mum hear you say that." Remus said from the door-way, laughing. Roman lifted his head to glare at his twin before growling and shoving his face back into his pillow.
"Virgin giving you trouble?" Remus asked, amused. "What happened to the 'Roman Charm' I've heard so much about?"
"I swear to God, if you call Sunshine 'Virgin' one more time-"
"Aw, do you care for him, Roman?" Remus asked, giggling and plopping down in a spinny-chair by the desk.
"No, I don't!" Roman sighed. "And anyway, Virgil seems pretty immune to anything I try. It's almost as if he's-"
"Not a five-year-old?" Remus asked. Roman looked up at him, confused, and Remus laughed. "Come on Roman, I thought you were meant to be smart. There's a reason Virgin isn't responding to your so-called charms. He's an actual human-being. With a brain. You know? That thing you don't have?"
Roman glared at Remus before climbing up onto the top bunk. Remus laughed and spun around in the spinny-chair again.
"You don't believe me, do you?" Roman shook his head and Remus laughed again. "Roman, if your brain was half as big as your ego, you might actually work it out. Virgin doesn't care about your stupid 'charms'. Maybe if you actually tried to stop being a dick with no dick, you would be able to work it out."

Virgil sighed as the bell rang. His mum had found out about him skipping school and he now had to complete two whole weeks of school with no late marks. It was a nightmare. The school halls were cramped and crowded, kids left and right were swearing and being loud and Virgil's social anxiety was heightened almost every minute of every day. Also, his notes on the social construct of school had been getting seriously neglected.
Hugging his Spanish books to his chest, Virgil hurried down the stairs to Music, not wanting to be late. He collided with someone in the hall-way but didn't drop anything. Mumbling a quick apology he was sure no one heard, he rounded the corner.
Dropping down in his assigned seat for Music, Virgil looked around the room as he shoved his Spanish books into his backpack. Music had always been one of the classes he'd made sure to skip. The loud noises and kids larking about, playing different tunes on the pianos, made his anxiety feel like a huge weight pressing down on his airways. In short, Virgil hated Music. Then, someone walked into the room, surrounded by a gaggle of boys. Someone that Virgil really didn't want to see at that point in time.
Roman Freaking Winston. Of course he and Virgil shared a class. It was just Virgil's luck that he had to share a class with the person who had never even looked at him until a week ago. And to think that Virgil used to be head-over-heels for this egoistic prat. Well, every guy who liked guys had had a crush on Roman once in their lives. Except for Virgil, it had been so much worse.
He'd been pining after Roman since Year 5. Not that Roman had ever really looked at him. The only interaction Roman and Virgil had ever had was when Virgil had gotten hit by a ball when they were playing Rounders. Roman offered to take Virgil to Medical. Virgil supposed that was where the crush had started. He had seen Roman as his hero. Well, not anymore.
Roman spied Virgil and excused himself from his group, going and sitting down next to Virgil.
"Is this your assigned seat?" Virgil asked, not looking at the boy next to him.
"Yeah. Why're you here?" Roman asked. His tone wasn't accusing, more curious.
"Because I sit here, Princey. It's really not that hard to work out." Virgil said, his voice like ice.
"I was just asking." Roman said quietly, turning away from Virgil. The conversation subsided but Virgil couldn't help snatch glances at the prince-like boy beside him every now and then.
