Chapter: 02

Sara's POV

"There everything is finished." I said to the food that was nicely displayed on the table, wiping my hands in satisfactory. I went to go get Ana for dinner when the house phone started to ring. "Uhm.. Ah! Yoboseyo?" I said worried I had gotten the pronunciation wrong. "Wow Sara, your Korean is getting pretty good." A smile appeared on my face when I recognize the voice on the other end of the phone.

"Thanks Honey, are you on your way home?"

"Yes I should be there in about 5 minutes. Is dinner ready?" He asked.

"Yes I made kimchi and bulgogi." I said with confidence.

"Haha, okay see you soon."

"Bye." I said before I hung up. 'I should probably go get Ana.' I thought to myself as I began to head upstairs. I knocked on her door and waited for a response.... nothing. "Ana..." I said as I opened her door and poked my head in.

"Ana~"

I looked into her room and saw that she was fast asleep. As I walked up to her I looked at her sleeping face and was reminded of her father. "You look just like your father." I whispered to myself as I moved a piece of her soft brown hair behind her ear.

"You always say that." Ana said with one eye opened.

"You were up?"

She nodded her head while she yawned and stretched her arms.

"I woke up when you opened the door."

"Yes I forgot how much of a light sleeper you are." I said with a smile."Well come on dinner is ready and your father will be here any second." I said as I made my way out her bedroom.

Ana's POV

"Your father will be here any second." She said as she started her way out my room.I cringed at the word father I hopped off my bed and followed her downstairs.

"Wow mom it smells great!" I exclaimed when I entered the kitchen. Trying to reach for some of the food that was nicely laid out on the table I was smacked on the hand. "Ow!" I gave out a yelp and pulled my hand back rubbing the red mark and pouted. "Wait for you father Ana."

"Fine."

"So how was school today?" My mom asked as we sat down at the dining table.

"It was fine.... I have a project I have to do with another student." I said while eyeing the food.

"Oh yeah? Are you paired with someone you know?" She asked looking at me smiling.

"Uhm.. yes and no." I said and she gave me a puzzled look. "I know who he is but I'm not really friends with him."

"Is he cute?" She asked suddenly making me blush. "Mom~ Stop he has a girlfriend."

"Oh okay." She said with disappointment.

"What kind of project are you two doing?" She asked. "We have to do a presentation.... oh and he is coming over tomorrow so we can start on it."

"Who is coming over tomorrow?" The voice came from behind and I turned to see who it is.

"Hello Honey." My mom said as she made her way to him and took his jacket.

"Hello." Soengmin said with a smile as he kissed her. "Hello Ana, how was school today?" He asked and I shrugged getting ready to stuff my face. "That's what we were just talking about. She has a presentation to do and her teacher paired her up with someone and he's coming over tomorrow to start on it." She said pretty much summing it up.
