"Explain this to me!" I demanded, bursting through Dr.Kims' office door. He put down some papers he was reading and furrowed his brows.
"What are you talking about, Ana?"
"This?" I threw the file on his desk. He picked it up and read it.
"Park Sara, she's deceased. What is it you want me to explain?"
"This right here," I pointed to a section of the paper. "It's says that she died cause her good kidney was given to another patient."
"Yes I was on the clock when she was brought in. She was in an incident that cause internal bleeding, caused one of her kidneys to fail and sustained a head injury. At the time there was another patient who needed a transplant, Mrs.Park was the only one who matched." He stared at me, confused as to why I was acting like this.
I was Pissed.
I was Hurt.
I covered my mouth with my hand, tears spilling over. The door opened and Jihoon rushed in. He came to my side and patted my back.
"S-So she wa-wasn't b-brain dead?" Dr.Kim looked at me even more confused and shook his head. My heart plummeted as more tears fell. Knees weak Jihoon held onto my shoulders to keep me balanced.
"Ana, why are you so concerned about this patient?" Dr.Kim asks walking from behind his desk.
"She w-was my mom!" I sobbed into Jihoons' arm. " 'S-She's brain d-dead' That's w-what I was told."
"Ana.." Dr.Kim said quietly. "I remember now. You were the daughter, you left with your fath-"
"He isn't my father!"
"You okay?" Jihoon asked looking at me. Dr.Kim let me go home and gave me a few days off. Jihoon drove me and we are now parked outside my apartment. I stared out the window, an overflowing amount of emotions going through me with an expressionless gaze. Opening the door I move one foot out but my wrist gets held back. "Ana, please if there is anything I could do?"
Without looking back I pull my wrist and walk to the lobby doors. The old lady behind the desk greeted me, I walked to the elevator where Sungmin was standing.
"Diana!" He said happily. Pulling me into hug he squeezes tight. Putting on a fake smile I pat him lightly on the back. "You don't look so good, that internship is taking a lot out of you." He stated looking at my face with concern.
The doors opened and we stepped in. Sungmin pressed our button and the doors closed. He stood next to me with his hands in his pockets. Staring at the side of my face he frowns a little. Leaning on my shoulder he starts to play with my hair. "It got long since the last time I saw you." I nodded slowly. When the doors opened again I moved out first and walked down the hall. Entering the code I open my front door, kicking off my shoes and removing my jacket I walk to my kitchen to find Zico placing things in my refrigerator.
"What are doing home so early? It's barely noon." He asked when he noticed me. Moving closer, he puts down a pack of fruit cups. "What's wrong?"
"Go home." I said flatly and moving passed him. He grabbed my wrist and I ripped it from his grasp. "I wish people would stop grabbing on to me!" I shouted. His eyes wide and lips parted, he stared at me shocked from my outburst. "Go home!"
"I know I'm here a lot-"
"A lot?" I scoffed. "You've been here pretty much everyday for the past month!" I threw my hands out. "It's like you're attached to my hip and we aren't even dating!"
"I'm protecting y-"
"You don't have to protect me! You don't have to be here every damn day and you don't have to be up my ass!" The anger in me began taking over. At this stage my mouth knew no boundaries, even though my heart hurts for yelling at him my head tells me to continue. "Just leave me alone!"
