Chapter 54

Gabby's POV

"What?" I looked up and wiped my face. Am I hearing things or did she just say my name.

"Baby? Hey I'm right here, please if you can hear me just say something. I'm listening." I said holding her hand and standing over her. For a second I thought I saw her eyelashes moved but when I took a double look it wasn't.

"Reagan? Please say something." I begged and when I was about to sit back down I felt something grip my hands. I started crying as I squeezed her hands and kissed her forehead.

"Are you awake?" I cried and it got silent until those beautiful eyes opened up and focused on me.

"Marry me." her voice was so quiet and I couldn't hear her over how loud my heart was beating.

"Will you marry me Gabby?" this time I heard her loud and clear. My heart burst with joy and I started screaming for the nurse to get in the room. Reagan looked at me confusingly before the nurse rushed over and removed the tubed.

"You gave us a scare." The nurse smiled at her but her eyes were focused on me as I texted Kenna and Stephanie to come to the hospital. After examining her the nurse stepped out and I walked towards her bed.

"You haven't been sleeping." she said quietly and I laughed and kissed her head.

"Trust me I will be after today. How do you feel? Anything hurt?" She kept studying me, and I didn't know why.

"You didn't answer my question." she said, and I looked at her confusingly.

"oh...I thought it was the coma talking I didn't know you meant it."

"I do. Gabby you are everything that I could ever want and need in my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. The worst already happened and honestly I don't care about anything else the law has in store for me. There's nothing worse than the thought of losing you. Will you please marry me?" she smiled and I laughed at her cuteness.

"Yes I will marry you, but don't you ever scare me like this again." she pulled me to her and kissed me. The moment our lips touched it was like she never left. The electricity coursed through my body and I kissed her with every emotion in my heart and mind. She kissed me with just as much energy and I felt all her love in the kiss. It was a mixture of I love you and I missed you and I need you and lust. When we pulled away for some air she had the biggest smile on her face.

"I'll try my best. How long have I been here?"

"A little over a month and I have two surprises for you. I pecked her lips and walked out to grab the babies. I practically skipped down the hallway. I smiled at how cute they were before picking them up and slowly walked over to the room. I heard Kenna and her laughing as I made my way inside the room. She gasped and started crying tears of joy as I handed her Gabriel.

"Aww he's so cute and tiny. I can't believe I had twins." she laughed and started talking to him.

"And this is Roland Emilio Carter. Or Milo for short." she took him and was looking at them both.

"They look nothing alike." she laughed and kissed them.

"Yeah, Fraternal Twins." We sat there and watched her bond with them and my heart was melting at the sight. I looked at my family and smiled.
