Shawn's POV
It was mid April and exactly two weeks since Camila and I had told her parents when they finally called us to invite us for dinner. Camila was at the univeristy when her mom told her and she freaked out a bit so I went to check on her.
"You shouldn't have come", she insisted while we walked to her car.
"Babe, you scared me", I told her.
"I was just being dramatic", she laughed, although she was also anxious about it and I knew it.
"You can't be dramatic now. I imagine the worse".
"Shawn, I'm ok, alright? I love that you worry about me and our baby but if anything's wrong, I'll tell you ok?"
I sighed and she took my face on her hands to make me look at her.
"I love you and I'm so thankful for you", she whispered. "But I don't want you to worry about me to the point you get stressed and sick. My baby needs a healthy daddy".
"I'll try to relax", I said. She was right, I was going out of my mind for the tiniest things, but I didn't know how to control it. I had gone through so much with my dad, that this time I felt like it was in my hands to do more, so I had to.
"You do that and I'm sure I'll be ok".
"But you have to tell me the second you feel something isn't ok", I warned.
"I promise".
"Good", I kissed her lips.
We got in her car and drove back to our place. She said Sinu hadn't said much over the phone, just that they were going to be waiting for us to joining them for dinner tomorrow afternoon. It was a short call and Camila didn't know what to expect, but as long as we were together, we were going to be fine, I told her.
"How was your day?", she asked me when we walked through the apartment door.
"Great", I said with a suspicious smile.
"What... happened?", she asked me slowly looking at my expression.
"I got a gig to take pictures a small wedding in a month", I smiled.
"Oh God, really? Was that one of Ella's contacts?".
"Yeah, it was an old man that hire me to be at his daughter and her fiancée's wedding".
"That is so sweet and I'm so happy for you".
"Thank you", I kissed her again and then moved to kitchen to get started on dinner.
"So...", she said misteriously.
"What?", I eyed her.
"I might have gotten the date for my thesis presentation this morning..."
"For you master?"
"Mhm", she murmured and nodded.
"Oh God, when is it?"
"May 14th".
"That's like in a month too".
"It is", she whispered.
"Are you nervous?", I asked because I would be freaking the hell out. I was never good with exams.
"Not yet, just a bit anxious".
"My girlfriend is getting her master, wow..."
"And my boyfriend is getting his name around as a wonderful photographer".
"Well we still have to see about that but I'm happy we're doing good. Maybe the baby is bringing us luck", I commented.
"You think?", she said and placed her hand over her belly and looked down with a smile on her face. I loved when she did that. I loved the sparkle on her eyes when she had those cute little moment of intimacy with the ball of joy growing inside of her.
