Camila's POV
I fixed my hair on a bun and stepped out of the bathroom to join Shawn in the kitchen. I watched him prepare coffee wearing only sport shorts and moving around bouncing the messy curls on his head.
"I don't remember when you put clothes on me", I told him while he poured himself a cup of coffee. I had declined the offer just two seconds ago because I had to leave soon.
"You said you were cold".
"I just remember being cold and then being extremely comfortable".
"Glad it helped", he said with a smile.
I could stare at his face all day, specially when his eyes were still a bit shut and puffy from sleep and his cheeks had a nice pink color on them, but I couldn't. I knew he was going to his dad's house soon and I had stuff to do too. I turned around to look for my coat and bag and when I returned to say goodbye I didn't know how to do it. Saying goodbye was always our awkward moment of the day. A quick peck feels like something you do when you're used to kissing on a daily basis and don't think much about it. A hug is not what you do after a night of hot sex and spooning. A handshake was obviously out of the table. A kiss was the best option considering where we stood... but how, what type, for how long, where should my hands go?
"Bye", I whispered looking at him and he did the same.
We both leaned in a bit, closing the gap between our lips but not finishing the job. Shit, what did it have to be so awkward? I giggled and he smiled before finally kissing. His lips were soft and I got carried away with the way they felt over mine. My hands, that were previously by my side, quickly grabbed strands of hair on the back on his head while he put his hands on my back, holding me close. This was the thing with us, no kiss was actually a normal 'goodbye, see you later' kiss. They were more of a 'let's make out till we need air to survive' type of kiss.
With all my willpower, I pulled away and licked my lips before looking at his eyes.
"Bye", he whispered with a giggle and this time, I smiled.
He walked with me to the door and closed it when I went outside. I felt like floating, like a 14 year old after kissing their crush. I fixed my coat and hugged myself while I walked with a smile on my face.
I did some chores around the house and then sat on the couch with my books and laptop to take a look at my assigned readings for one of my master class. This semester was really close to ending and I knew it was not going to be an easy or regular one. I had double the job with teaching and being a student myself at the same time, so I needed to double my efforts. I had a sandwich around noon and I got a text from Shawn around the same time. He was just checking on me and that warmed my heart. At 4 pm Mandy texted me that she was coming over. I assumed something big had happened, it was just a text but I could feel it.
When I opened the door she stormed inside and paced around.
"What's going on...?", I asked her slowly.
"Seb", she said with a poker face. I had no idea how to take that. Had he done something bad, something good?
"Sit down", I said and I joined her. "Tell me... do I need to kill him?"
She looked at me deadly in the eyes, still not showing emotions, just shock.
"No", she whispered. "He asked me to move in with him".
"Wow...", was I all I could think of saying. "Is that a bad thing?"
"I don't know", she whined finally putting down her walls and letting me see her fear and confusion. "Is it too soon?"
