The bell above the door of an old-style diner dings as it opens, catching the attention of anyone working or other late-night snackers. The four that enters looks extremely out of place and odd in the old fashioned diner. Some stood with a few rips in their clothes, dark red stains, forming bruises on their skin, and disheveled looks.

The group decides on a table towards the back, getting a few odd looks tossed their way as they go, their shoes gliding across the freshly polished black and white checkered floor. Connor and Devon slide into one booth next to each other as Conrad and Gavin sit in front of them. The two humans sit towards the edge of the seat while the androids sit closer to the wall since there would be no reason for them to get up.

"What a phuckin night..." Gavin Reed sighs heavily, slumping back in his seat, throwing his head back in the process. Devon leans forward, her elbows on the white shiny tabletop, her cheek resting on her left hand that's closes to Connor. "Yeah, you can say that again." The woman lets out a sigh as well. The woman moves her hand up to rub her jaw but winches slightly when her fingers touch a tender spot on the edge of her jaw.

"Let me see." Connor's gentle and soothing voice makes the woman look to him. He turns towards her on the deep red booth, taking her face into his smooth hands gently, turning her head in different directions to eye the area at various angles. His brown eyes notice how the spot she had touched was starting to bruise ever so slightly. His eyes flicker to her bottom lip where there was a still-healing wound from two days ago. A frown settles into the groove of his lips, bothered by the fact she has been getting hurt so much lately.

Devon notices the change in his facial expression. The way his pink lips dip down at the corners and how his brows curve slightly downwards, causing his forehead to crease. His LED is spinning yellow, meaning he's thinking hard about something. Before the woman could ask him what was wrong, a throat clears to get their attention.

Gavin had a curious look on his face with his arms crossed over his broad chest as he eyed the two in front of him. He notices the way Connor held her face like a delicate piece of glass that would shatter into millions of pieces if he happened to put too much pressure. Connor sees Gavin's piercing eyes trained on his hands that were still cupping Devon's jaw, so he lets them slip away and fold into his lap instead. Before the man could comment on their closeness, a waiter stops by at the end of their table.

"Hello, my name is Quinton! Did you guys take a look at the menu?" The young man asks, noticing no one had a menu in front of them. The menus were tucked off to the side of the table, neatly stacked. Devon takes a moment to look at their waiter. He looks young, maybe late teens to early twenties. His skin is tan with splotches of freckles that sprinkle across his nose and cheeks. He's wearing a white collared shirt and black slacks with a red apron over them. His hair climbs past his ears, the ends curling upwards slightly.
