CARL’S POV

“Damn!!!”  

I threw the glass of wine out of frustration. After the sudden breakup, sino ba naman ang hindi mapu-frustrate?

Hindi lang ata frustration ang nararamdaman ko… Galit at inis sa sitwasyon, sa sarili ko, kay Lorraine at maging kay Zyra.

“Urgh!!”  I once threw another thing out of anger.

I was about to throw another thing that my hand would first touch when the door in my house suddenly opened. Lorraine entered. Mas lalo lang akong nagalit.

“Carl! What are you doing?! Is everything alright?”  

I clenched my fists….

Hindi ko na napigilan ang sunod kong ginawa…

Nilapitan ko siya at hinaklit sa braso.

“Did you really have to harm her family?!!”  sigaw ko kay Lorraine. I heard her gasped.

"I warned you Carl. I even war5ned her but still, you kept on seeing each other!"  ganting sigaw niya at hinablot ang braso nito.

"Not anymore... She broke up with me. You happy now?"  I smiled bitterly at her. Lorraine looked satisfied. So much for being so happy.

"Then, the better. Yuo should forget about her. I'll make you forget about her. "  akmang hahalikan na sana niya ako pero umiwas ako sa kanya. She did not persist and took the initiative to leave me alone which works for me.

Kasi wala lang din naman akong ginawa kung hindi ay ang magwala.

ZYRA'S POV

   Matapos ang diskusyon namin ng mom ko ay nagsimula na kaagad akong magplano. 

Umalis na ako sa bahay at umuwi na sa sarili kong bahay. Ayaw pa sana akong paalisin ng pamilya ko pero may kailangan akong gawin at isa na doon ay ang tawagan si Renz.

"Zyra, what's up?"  He's doing better, I think?

"Hey.. Renz, I need a favor."  seryoso kong sabi. Wala ng paliguy-ligoy pa. 

"O..kay... I'm listening." 

"Your family has a manufacturing business right? I have a proposal to send."  

 

"Okay. I will handle it personally. "  Napangiti ako. Sinabihan ko na lang siya na makipagmeet sa parents ko for business purposes.. Pumayag naman ito kaya wala na akong halos poproblemahin doon. 

After ko makipag-usap kay Renz ay may isa pa akong tinawagan. This is necessary for the warm up in my war with Lorraine. If she thinks that I will give up easily, then she is dead wrong!

I settled in my bed and called an agency I used to handle before.  They hired me as their consultant. Luckily, the owner knows me and trusted me as well. 

"Hi Mr. Cheng.  I am so sorry for calling you in a time like this. I am concerned. How's your company doing?"  

"It's going well, actually but we need assortments in the database. We need adjustments."  

"I see. Then ask a consultant to do your bidding."   I smiled as the pace of the conversation turned in favor to me. Kahit alam ko na may consultant na iba si Mr. Cheng ay baka magawan ko ng paraan na ako ulit ang kunin niya. 

"Yes. I am thinking of asking you to take good care of it. Its a good thing you called."  Kilala ko kasi ang mga taong kagaya ni Mr. Cheng. A person like him will seize every opportunity to take a chance to make his business larger. Its a good thing that he loves my works above else.

"Really? Well, I can do that much. You can send me the access and everything that your company needs. I'll be taking good care of it."   Tuwang tuwa ito sa sinabi ko kasi alam nitong bihira lang ako magconduct ng freelance consultation outside of the compaany's records. 

Agad-agad ay ito mismo ang nagsend sa akin ng access para sa main database nila. Just so you know, I have a dababase maintenance skills. 

Kinuha ko ang data na galing kay Mr. Cheng at agad kong tiningnan ang travel history ni Lorraine for the past year then I did something para walang maka-trace na may kinuha akong info mula sa database ni Mr. Cheng. 

Inayos ko na kaagad ang kung ano man ang gustong mangyari ni Mr. Cheng sa mga data niya and I send it back to him after a few hours of working on it. Sunod kong ginawa ay naghalungkat ako sa mismong database na ako ang naghahandle at kinuha ang mga impormasyon tungkol sa Montenegro. 

Nagresearch din ako tungkol sa mga investors ng kompanya nila at ang standing nito for the past year pati na rin ang mga major stockholders nito sa kompanya nila. Lucky for me, I knew these people. 

Buong magdamag ay wala akong ginawa kung hindi ay ang magresearch tungkol sa kompanya nila at magdevise ng mga hakbang na pwede kong gawin para maitupad ang mga plano ko. Kailangan ko ding malaman kung sinu-sino ang mga taong nasa listahan ko na pwede kong mapakinabangan...

"Well, well...; Seems like I have the upperhand, Lorraine... You'll see what I can do to you."
