Jungkook first person POV:

They're here. He's here, with her. And I'm stuck watching it all play out on YouTube like a stalker.

"I've missed you like hell, Rue." He whispers into her hair, holding her close to his chest. His eyes are downcast, but his and her shaking shoulders are clearly visible.

"Thank god you're here, Thommy!" she cries, gripping his shoulders tightly. And at that small crack in her voice, that little hint telling me and the rest of their 24.6M subscribers just how much she missed him and cares for him, my heart clenches.

The two hug for another minute, seeming content to cling onto each other as long as possible, but then the others come round to the pair and encircle them in a group hug.

When they finally break apart, Diana and Thomas are left standing close by each other and he whispers something into her hair that the camera can't pick up, and it physically hurts to not know what he said to her to make her smile the way she is now.

She then looks in the direction of the camera and a look of deep embarrassment takes over her face before she blocks the view with her hands to collect herself, but when she lowers her hands she smiles broadly and walks over to whoever's behind the camera and delivers a hug along with the words "I missed you too, Michal!"

Walking back around and into the camera's view, she wraps each of her friends in yet another hug and then walks around the room quickly to pick up what looks like scraps of discarded paper from her floor, stuffing them into a cabinet.

"What the hell are you all doing here!?" Rue laughs and drags her friends down onto the couch to sit next to her. Lara-jean plops down next to her, and the blond-haired guy – Leo – flops down onto her lap and rests his head in her lap like it's the most natural thing ever; which if I'm being honest, does seem like a pretty normal thing for them.

"Breathing, blinking, screaming like banshees," May lists off with wide joking eyes, and sets herself down next to Thomas who wraps his arm around her shoulder.

"Truth be told, since you left we kept imagining coming here and surprising you, and we thought we'd better pick our a**es out of LA and do it before you come back!" Leo grins up at her from where his head rests in her lap.

But what he says nags at me in a way that stirs something within me I haven't felt in a while.

Go back?
To LA? Forever? That's it? Once the year is up will she really be gone for good? She can't really be planning to move back, right? How could she just leave like this? How could she walk away and never look back? Would she forget about us, forget about me?

"Aww, did you really miss me that much, Hot-stuff?" Diana teases, effortlessly side-stepping around the issue I want immediately solved, but.... Now is not the time.

"Don't let it go to your head, Beauty-queen!" he fires back, and I have to take a moment and reread the translations to remember that those were nicknames from a book or something that they'd discussed in a video a while ago.

"Actually, the photo you posted of that delicious looking pastry was what sent us running." Potter jokes and sits down next to his soulmate with a brush of his hand on her knee.

"I should have known I would come after food." Diana sighs up at the ceiling, but Leo turns his head in her lap toward her stomach and blows a great big raspberry, making her squeal and leap up slightly in surprise and laughter. "You naughty boy!" she scolds and ruffles his hair.
