I've heard that the best place to start is the beginning, so I suppose I'll start just there.
When I first discovered BangTan, you drew my eyes. Maybe it was your bubble personality or the way you seem to bloom smiles on the faces of all the people around you. Maybe it was your introduction in interviews, or perhaps the way you dance. But either way, you stuck with me and became my first bias.
Some could say that, that doesn't mean much. Some could say that kpop and idols don't mean much in general. And I suppose no one can really say what's right and wrong, but at the end of the day, you made me smile when others couldn't. So I want to thank you.
People used to tell me that my enthusiastic personality made them happier, or that my smile eased others when they were on edge. I don't know how much that says about a person, but you resonated with me for that reason among others, and you made me want to smile, not just for others but for myself.
I also was told, I was a good dancer. I never could tell if they were being honest or not, but either way, dancing was for me and I never wanted to show it to others, so I never took classes or preformed. But seeing you dance, seeing the passion in your eyes when you dance, it made me want to dance again.
Whatever all this means; that I smile and laugh a bit more, that I feel happier when listing to your rap, or that I'll dance alone in my basement to your songs, I'm grateful to you.
So thank you. And know that, I am just one in the millions of ARMYs who feel the same way and will always love you.
