Jungkook third person pov:

It had been another long hard day: rehearsing, rushing back and forth from building to building, shoving food down your throat, more rehearsing. But it was just like every other day for the life of every bts member and there were no exceptions for Jungkook.

Slumped up against a bookcase full of records Jungkook took a deep breath and pulled out his phone to distract him. Now this was his private account that was fake. All the bts members had them: fake accounts so they could use the media how they please without having to worry about army. Don't get me wrong, army was great and nothing if not supportive, but sometimes you just want to be able to feel normal and use social media to do whatever you want without having a million likes and retweets within the first ten minutes.

Scrolling through his Instagram feed, Jungkook found nothing but pictures of food and selfies with their soulmates.

Soulmates: everyone had them, but only 45% of the population found theirs. You usually can tell you've found your soulmate just by a touch, but there's the occasional "one look and you know" kind of a thing. However lots of people meet their soulmates but don't realize it at first, never see each other again and then never know. And then there's the built proof method of checking for matching tattoos.

When you turn 18 you receive your tattoo, and your soulmate has the matching one. However some are in certain areas and are not so visible and therefore, it's harder to tell if you've met your soulmate.

Jungkook's own tattoo was at the very edge of where his hair and neck meet by his left ear, so with the right haircut and styling, he has been able to keep it hidden from the press so far, unlike Namjoon who's tattoo which is on his forearm, and was found out, and posted everywhere within the first hour. But so far no one has proved to be his other half. Oh army has tried, tried to fake it with permanent marker, and other tattoos, but the girl was found out and charged a costly fine so no one has tried since. Especially since tattoo places have all since been closed down, and are now illegal.

Being an idol you would think that the chances of meeting your soulmate were higher right? Wrong! Or at least in Jungkook's case. No one in bts had found their soulmates, and it didn't look like it was about to happen any time soon. Sure, every fan meet and concert the boys would look out at army and see if they could see their soulmate standing in the crowd, but so far no such luck.

Though they all tried to talk it off with each other: "Hey, you don't know! Our soulmates could be out there in tonight's concert!"

"I bet mine is a red head."

"I bet mine is really funny and smart."

"They'll find us someday."

It didn't really make sense anyway. How would it work? Jungkook wondered. How would this affect his career and big hit? So in many ways it was a big relief to have not found his soulmate. But that never stopped him from looking out at the huge crowds and hoping to see her standing there, to have her come to a fan meet and just know, no it never stopped him from secretly wishing every night to meet her the next day.

Jungkook reached up a hand to his neck where the tattoo was: a single word in English that Namjoon had to translate.

Forever

So simple, yet it meant everything.

Forever

AN:
Ok, I know that wasn't the best but I had to put it out there for it to hopefully get better 😂

Thank you to whoever's kind enough to read this! 😅
