Chapter 25

I widely smiled as I inhaled deeply, a vehement wind harshly blew my hair as I walk towards the sea. Doydoy behind me chuckled at my reaction.

"The sea is calling me!" I exclaimed, bahagya kong itinaas ang aking suot na dress para di mabasa ng tubig.

Medyo malakas ang alon kaya kahit na itinaas ko na ang aking damit ay nababasa parin. Someone hugged from behind me, he combed my hair to the other side of my side and place his chin on my shoulder.

"You like my surprise?"

He went to my condo so early in the morning and told me to pack my things cause he prepared a surprise for me. And I don't expect him to bring me here at Davao! At Romblon's Haven Resort! The most popular resort! I've never been here, that's why I am so amazed by the white sands and blue sea water. There are also a floating cottage! Wow.

I nodded fastly and kissed his cheek. "I love it, Javier."

"I love you more." He whispered but I pretended that I didn't hear anything.

We've been together for almost two months now. And Yes, I like him but I'm not sure it's more than like. I don't want to hurt him as much as possible, so I chose to act. Though I know I'm still hurting him.

We ended up wet, para kasi kaming sira-ulong naghabulan sa dagat. But it we both enjoy so it's worth it.

"Two rooms for Javier Alonzo." Sabi ni Doydoy sa receptionist.

The receptionist's jaw slightly dropped as she look at Doydoy pero ng mapansin akoy nagmadali agad siyang yumuko. I read her name on her name plate, it's Mariah. Tsk.

Doydoy suddenly intertwined our finger so my eyes drifted on him, he sweetly smiled at me and kissed my temple. I saw Mariyah watching kaya pinagtaasan ko siya ng kilay, she quickly look away. 

"My room will be 123 and yours is 121." He said and lend me my keys.

"Thank you." I said. He really respects me, well except nung hinalikan niya ako sa elevator, though hindi naman iyon kabastusan masyado dahil ok lang naman sa akin.

Hindi siya dumiretso sa kwarto niya, he helped me with my things first and checked the whole place before he went to his room. He texted me to take a rest first then we'll eat at the floating cottage for dinner.

I cleaned myself up and wore my pajamas on before crawling to my bed. Saglit ko pang nakausap si Kezia sa tawag saka ako natulog. I woke up at exactly six pm. Napangiti ako ng mabasa ang text ni Doydoy.

Javier D :
I knocked thrice but you didn't open your door so I guess you were sleeping. Take rest, babe. I'll wait for you downstairs. Love you.

I texted him back, awaring him that I am now fully awake and just preparing for our dinner.

I didn't take a bath cause I just took a bath before sleeping so I didn't bother. I wore my purple boho dress, it's a sleeveless dress with a slit hanggang kalahati ng hita ko. I wore only light make up and let my hair down, I only wore slippers and sprayed my favorite caramel Victoria's secret perfume.

Kung noon di ako sanay sa mga ganitong bagay ngayon ay sanay na sanay na ako. As time passes by, I've learned that I should learn to face the reality, that I should learn to be independent and be open minded. Noon iniisip kong mga liberated lang na mga babae ang nagbibikini sa beach pero nagbago ang pananaw kong iyon ng tumagal. I thought of manila girls as flirty wild girls and didn't have care about the word dignity and stuffs, but it's not true pala.

I smiled and walk slowly when I saw the back of Doydoy outside the hotel. He is talking to someone over the phone. He's wearing a plain sando which makes his biceps and muscles visible and a summer shorts. Dahan dahan akong humakbang palapit sa kaniya at agad siyang niyakap mula sa likuran.
