Chapter 48: Valentines week part 2

-Lucy pov-

I have today all planed out. I'm going to get Rachel to keep Juniper and stay with us. I woke up before them to make sure I could get everything done to the fine points. I even took care of the baby when she woke up.

I wasn't gonna get a whole lot of sleep anyways. The couch is not a very forgiving bed. I will do what I have to never to sleep on one again. Even if that means agreeing to stupid things Rachel and Santana wanna do. 

"I see you're awake" I look up at Santana "What are you doing already up?"

"I'm going to get Rachel to keep Juniper then get all of you to forgive me tomorrow" I pull out my phone and turn off the alarm as it goes off "Hopefully at least"

Santana nods "If you get her to keep Juniper then you've got me" She looks toward the stairs with a smile "I'm gonna stay here with the baby while you and Lucy go"

"Uhh ok" I look up and Rachel turn away "I can go by myself though"

"It'll be fine" I stand up and smile "Lets go!"

Rachel nods and goes outside. I look back at San who nods to me. I nod back and walk to the front door. This will be a challenge.

"Hey Luce" I turn and look at Santana "We lose our baby we lose you..I love you but I'm not going through all of this heartbreak"

I nod and walk outside. Time to start the plan.

-Time skip-

"So" We are about a hour away from the adoption center "Why don't we talk? How was last night?"

"Terrible" I frown and look over at Rachel "Just pay attention to the road please"

"Fuck the plan" I turn into a parking lot and park "I'm sorry Rachel...I was angry and said things I shouldn't have...You've had so many things to figure out and go through and I've been inconsiderate! I don't wanna lose you o-o-or San and I-I-I'm so sorry! Don't give up Juniper! We can do this! I wanna do this!"

There's nothing but silence and I force myself to avoid looking. After a few more minutes pass I sigh and back out of the lot. I get back on the road and start driving to the center again. The ride stays silent as we get to the adoption center.

I should've stuck to the damn plan. Why did I have to ruin all of this?! I'M SO FUCKING STUPID! Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut till we reached my planned place. I sigh as I pull into a open space.

Neither of us have made a move to get out of the car. I'm such a damn fool. I get pulled out of my thoughts when there's a knock on my window. I jump and look out to see the old man from yesterday. I quickly roll my window down and smile.

"Why hello little lady!" He looks at me with a confused frown "Why the long face princess?"

"Just failed sir" He nods in understanding and I look at him confused "Why are you at a adoption center?"

"My niece isn't able to take care of her baby anymore so we are here for support" He looks past me and waves "Is this the little love of yours?"

"Hi" I don't look at Rachel as she speaks to him "My name is Rachel Berry"

"OHH!" The man smiles "You're the ones!"

"The ones?" I finally look at Rachel and see tear stained confusion "Oh baby"

The man laughs "Yes the baby" There's some door shuts and the man stands up "There's my niece! I see she brought your other partner too!"

We both look out the windows and see Santana with the baby and a woman. She gives me a confused look and I shrug. When I see Sue pull up it all clicks. I start opening up all of my compartments and find a envelope.
