Kai's birthday arrived pretty quickly. The Hartridge sisters had now been living at the temple for just over five months. Jenny stood in front of her wardrobe, utterly confused.
"What are you supposed to wear to your rival's birthday party?" she mused thoughtfully.
"Something flashy," Alex replied evenly, from where she was relaxing on her bed. Ronnie was curled up beside her. Jen glanced over at her. "Isn't that what you always do?" Her sister returned her attention to her wardrobe and pulled out a short, navy blue dress.
