When asked to think about something that's more intimate than sex, not many people have an answer. What could be more intimate than giving your body to someone else?
To me, watching someone cry is more intimate than sex. You see them whole and raw and broken and so painstakingly human that you feel you know them not only outside, but inside as well. You know their fears and weaknessess. You see them at their lowest point and still choose to be with them and help them through it all.
Sex is nothing. Sex is physical and can be forgotten. Honestly, how many people do most people have sex with? three, four, maybe half a dozen?
But tears, emotions, weakness? you don't weep in front of someone you're not one hundred percent comfortable with. to me, that's what complete trust is like. That's how you can tell how intimate you really are with someone else.
To me, that's true love.
