Diana Prince: Protected

Confidence radiated off Barbara as she threw the once almighty Wonder Woman across the room. She swayed her hips as she walked closer, like an animal catching its prey. Her smirk was firm and she was ready to pounce. It filled you with rage watching her walk around like she was untouchable.

"Touch her again Barbara and you'll regret it" you practically growled from behind her. Her head whipped towards you, her smirk slightly faltered.

"Y/N get out of here!" Diana weakly yelled from her crumbled position. Your eyes scanned the damage, you couldn't believe the state she was in. Your heart ached for the woman.

"Not until I know you're safe" you shared a wink with Diana, a secret signal to signify you had something up your sleeve. Her body relaxed at the action but she couldn't deny the anxiety she still had.

"Well aren't you brave" Barbara began to circle you, a tactic that would usually terrify the prey. She came to a halt, directly in front of you. She tilted her head as she sized you up. She shrugged you off, seeing you as nothing more than a meal. With all her might she pushed off the floor and charged towards you. You easily dodged her attack by moving to the side. She slid across the floor, growling in annoyance. She charged again, this time with more speed. You raised your hand until it was perfectly placed in front of you. Your hand began to twitch when suddenly Barbara was lifted into the air. Barbara struggled against the mysterious force that surrounded her. It was your turn to smirk.

"You made a wish!" She yelled with disappointment laced through her words

"I had to! I couldn't stand by and let her hurt you" Deep down, Diana understood but she couldn't risk anything happening to you. You looked back towards Barbara, tired of her antics. You swiftly moved your hand towards the door, throwing her miles away from the building. She won't be coming back any time soon. You ran over to Diana, scooping her in your arms.

"Let's get you home, then you can yell at me" with a small nod of agreement from Diana, you carefully lifted her up. Hoping to make it home safely.

Diana spent her time wisely as she regained her strength. All she could think about was how this wish could cost you your life. Once she was capable of lifting herself off the bed, she was ready to scold you.

"How could you Y/N? You know that each wish comes with a price. What if it stripped you of your humanity like Barbara?"

"I had to risk it, all I wanted was to protect you" she sighed before wrapping her arms around your waist.

"You did a wonderful job and I know you'll continue to protect me just as well without your new powers" Her eyes pleaded with yours, it was her turn to protect you.

"Can't I keep them for one more day?" Your replied with a goofy grin, earning a small chuckle in response. She looked at you once more, hoping you would say the words she wanted to hear.

"I renounce my wish" you whispered, scared if you said it louder it would backfire. You felt the energy leave your body, probably floated to the next supernatural wish.

"Thank you" her voice soothed you, a wave of reassurance washed over you. She placed a soft kiss to your forehead before engulfing you into a hug. You had everything you needed right here, there was nothing left to wish for.
