News spread like wildfire over the charred graduates of the academy. Whispers of a new evil wandered through the town, worrying its residents. Your phone buzzed with a 911 message from Caroline. The Salvatore boarding house was the requested safe location for the meeting. At a quick pace, you ran towards the house, hoping that Matt wasn't included in the massacre.

You pushed through the heavy front door, eyes landing on the group beside the fire place. You scanned for Matt, who was in perfect condition on a chair. A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you ventured toward the group. You over heard Stefan mention a heretic, a term you haven't heard in years. Caroline then rattled off a list of names she's heard Lily mention, Nora being the top of the list. You walked into the room, all eyes were now trained on you. Each waiting for a witty line or a diabolical idea, something that was the furthest from your mind.

"Did someone just use the name Nora and heretic in the same sentence?" The name made your heart beat faster, an action that was sure to be heard amongst the vampires in the room.

"Yeah, she just burnt my entire graduating class" Matt spat venom as he spoke, he was clearly at the end of his rope.

"So this is our doomsday meeting?" You looked around the group which was a lot smaller than usual.

"Yes, we are planing to rid the world of another evil" Caroline rolled her eyes, turning her attention back to the group.

"Does this group of heretics know that we're all here?" A question asked hesitantly

"No, why would they?" Matt retorted. He was brimming with anger.

"Well they do now" You released an awkward laugh, the feeling of magic flowing through you. A feeling you've missed over the centuries.

"What's that supposed to mean?", "Have they compelled you?", "Are you working with them?" A string of questions were hurled at you, all overlapping each other. You opened your mouth to reply but a loud bang drew your attention. Nora stood confidently in the doorway, a smirk firmly in place. The group created a defensive stance, each ready to fight a losing battle. However Nora only had eyes for you, the rest was a blurred backdrop.

"I'll be taking what's mine now" she demanded, swiftly appearing next to you. Her soft hand grabbed yours before pulling you away.

Your new surroundings were unfamiliar, however Nora's face was the same. Her soft features, bouncy hair and playful smile made your heart swoon. Both of you stared at each other in silence, each revelling in the moment.

"I thought you had died" your voice broke the silence, a tinge of pain lingered in your words

"And I had hoped you didn't" Nora quickly replied, her voice matched yours

"Where were you?"

"Trapped in a god awful hell dimension. But none of that matters now" She walked closer to you, placing her hand on your cheek. "All that matters is you". You leaned into her soft touch, a touch that you believed you'd never feel again.

"May I kiss you?" She asked hesitantly, she was never one to ask, she always just took what she wanted. But never with you. You nodded your head and Nora didn't skip a beat. She leaned in and softly kissed your lips. Sparks flew like an old cliche romance, your body filled with joy. You pulled back and looked at her with eyes so deep with love. The taste of fresh lipgloss lingered on your lips, pulling her closer to your body.

"Never leave again" you whispered.

"I promise" was the last words spoken before she reconnected her lips to yours. A kiss filled with a centuries worth of catching up to do.
