After months of needles, sleepless nights and never ending doctor appointments. A strong line appeared on the stick in your hand. A squeal escaped your lips and elated tears welled in your eyes. Without a second thought, you ran towards Elena's, knowing that Caroline would be there. When you reached the door, you knocked at a rapid pace, alerting the group inside. Elena pulled the door open, her eyes grew wide as they landed on you.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked in a panic, her eyes looking you up and down. You took a moment to catch your breath before replying.
"I'm fine" you offered Elena a bright grin. "I was wondering if Caroline was here?" Elena raised an eyebrow at your state but answered nevertheless.
"She just left to get some ice cream, you'll probably be able to catch her" She motioned her head towards the street.
"Thank you!" Before Elena could ask again, you were already half way down the road. You ran through multiple streets before you bumped into Caroline. You caught your balance after bouncing into the girl in question.
"Y/N? What are you doing here? Is everything okay?" She cupped your face in her hands, her eyes staring deeply into yours.
"We are perfect" you muffled between her hands
A confused look crossed Caroline's face, "Huh?".
"We are perfect" you repeated, slow enough for the words to register. Her nose scrunched and her eyes squinted at you.
"We?" She drawled out.
"We" you copied, making a round motion around your stomach. Silence filled the street as Caroline deeply thought about your choice of words. Her eyes grew wide and her mouth dropped open. Her hands quickly covered her mouth.
"WE!" She squealed as the realisation kicked in. She ran towards you, leaping into your arms. Your excited laughs filled the air, enjoying the moment with each other.
"We going to have a baby" Caroline whispered in your ear, her voice trembled as the tears began to fall. She wriggled out of your grip, pulling you into a passionate kiss. All her love devoured you and warmed your heart. She pulled back and showed her toothy grin.
"Can we tell the others?" With a nod of your head, she picked you up and used her speed to rush you to Elena's house. A giant smile on her face from start to finish, a smile you wish your child would inherit.
