20 | Long time no see, love

Mia De Martel

It's the day we leave for the holidays. I already asked for mum's and dad's permission regarding spending Christmas with Marlene (Lies). They didn't agree but when I told them I was being spontaneous and adventurous, they agreed. Damon isn't going home for Christmas as well, his spending Christmas with Lily. Grayson's the only one going home with a girl.I already sent them their gifts including Lily's and Marlene's. I'll give the gives to the boys later on the train.

"Is my brother actually going to meet your parents?" I asked as we dragged our trunks inside an empty train compartment.

Lily happily nodded. "He is. I'm excited and nervous at the same time." she giggled.

"Make sure to pinch him every once in a while or else he'll faint." I warned, jokingly.

"Make sure to use protection. Don't want having little Lily or little Damon popping out of you anytime soon." Marlene joked, wincing because Lily smacked her head.

I chuckled before standing up, grabbing the gifts for the boys. "I better go give these to them. I'll see you two later." as. I stepped out of the compartment, came along Damon.

"Sister." Damon nodded.

"Brother." I mocked causing him to roll his eyes. "Can you give this to Regulus?" I asked handing him my gift to Regulus. "Lily is in there." I added before walking away from him.

The found the boys sitting inside their usual compartment. I opened it with a smile on my face.

"Hello, boys." I greeted. "Here are your gifts." I said, passing along the gifts. "Don't even think about opening them before Christmas. They're charmed to be opened only on Christmas." I explained with a smirk plastered on my face.

"Touché, Amy." Sirius grinned.

I rolled my eyes at the ridiculous nickname. At least it's better than the last two he gave me, 'Sugar' and 'Sweets'.

"Well, I better go. I'll see you boys next year. Have a great holiday. " I said, smiling before leaving them.

Someone calling my name made me stop in my tracks. James was jogging up to me.

"James, what's up?"

"The boys are coming to my house at New Year's Eve. I'd like you to come."

My eyes widen in shock. I was close with them but not to the point that they'll invite me during holidays.

"Really?"

James nodded. "Really. So, you'll come?"

"I'll think about it, Jay." I said before leaving him standing there.

An hour later we arrived at Kings Cross. I hugged my friends goodbye before grabbing my trunk and going to the muggle cafe.

Uncle Gabe told me to meet him there. Don't know why. Probably didn't want anyone to see him.

A familiar scent went up my nose as the cafe door opened, revealing the great Gabriel De Martel.

"Long time no see, love."

I narrowed my eyes at him as he sat down on the chair in front of me.

He looked different. Tanner than before. He has a beard now which was odd because he used to hate having one. He was in casual clothes. He also seemed happier. Happier than before.

"You look different, Uncle Gabe." I smiled. "Different is good."

He shrugged. "I try." he grinned. "We better head out. We have a lot of catching up to do."
