04 | I don't hate you
Mia De Martel
It's been a week now. This night was marking as the fourth night Black and I will be patrolling. The second night was fine, much the first night, didn't acknowledge I was there with him. The third night was the same.
I know he hates Gryffindors but at least he could make an effort to at least acknowledge that I'm here with him.
As I approached the dungeons, there he was again, waiting boredly outside the dungeons. Once he saw me, he walked passed me again.
I sighed before following him. I really don't understand the other Slytherins. Why do they hate Gryffindors so much? Why can't they be like Damon? Damon doesn't care much about blood status.
At the end of the patrol, we went back to our head boy and head girl to give them the report on our patrol. After that we were free to go back to our houses.
"Why do you even put up with me?" I asked as I stopped in my tracks.
He furrowed his brows as he stopped walking. "I beg your pardon?"
"You clearly hate me. You could go talk to the head boy and head girl right to get you partnered up with someone else. A slytherin perhaps."
"Your point?" he asked, looking bored.
I sighed. "My point is you could be patrolling with a slytherin right now if you requested it, so why don't you?" I asked curiously.
He stepped up close to me. His grey eyes piercing into my blue ones. His curled up into a smirk.
"I don't complain, De Martel. If you don't want to patrol with me then you go talk to the head boy and the head girl." Regulus said before turning around. "And I don't hate you. I just hate that you weren't sorted into slytherin." he added before leaving me stunned.
I scoffed. "Git."
I walked back to the Gryffindor tower, exhausted. I hate being a prefect.
"Password." the fat lady said.
"Hippogriff."
Once I said the password, the portrait opened and I walked in. I sat on the couch, facing the fireplace.
I thought about what Regulus said. Should I talk to the head boy and head girl? Maybe I should to talk to them to save Black from the misery of being next to me.
A loud creak made me jump, almost jumping out of the couch.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." he grinned.
"It's alright." I nonchalantly replied, facing the fireplace once again.
I could feel his eyes on me as he sat down next to me. When I averted my gaze back to him, he smiled.
"I don't think we've met before. James Potter."
I chuckled. "I know who you are. I think everyone in this school knows who you are." I pointed out.
Of course everyone knew him. The entire school knows who the infamous Maruaders were. Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and James Potter. They threw pranks for the past six years they've been here. Plus they were kinda cute.
"Well, I don't know who you are." He grinned.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Mia." I muttered.
"I'm sorry?"
"I'm Mia. Mia De Martel."
