66 | Lighting Storm
A/N : This was is a very chaotic chapter.
This was the day they were waiting for. The day Mia will become a animagi and James will finally find out what Mia had been hiding.
The mandrake leaf was already in the potion and had been seal away from sunlight for three days. The lightning storm was tonight and Mia has to drink the potion tonight.
"Is everything set?" Mia whispered.
James nodded. "Yup. We'll meet up at the room of requirements. Are you excited?"
"I'm nervous. What if I became a fish or something?" Mia asked, anxiously.
He rolled his eyes. "I'm sure that won't happen. I'm thinking you'll be a something cute." he said, pinching her cheeks.
"Fishes are cute." Mia shrugged.
James looked at her like she was insane. "Really? Fishes are cute? I'm guessing you really are mental."
Mia rolled her eyes. "I hate you."
"I know that you love me, De Martel. Let's go. We're meeting up with the others." James said before the walked out of his dorm.
"Peter went home, right?" Mia asked.
"Yeah. His parents doesn't like him staying here during holidays." James answered. "So, I was thinking. After this term, where will you be staying this summer?"
"I'm staying with my uncle." She answered. "But I'll come visit when I can." she smiled.
James smiled. "That's good. Mum really likes you around and dad thinks you are funny."
"I know. Parents love me." Mia said, smugly.
"Phoenix." James muttered the password. "After you, De Martel." he said, sarcastically.
"You are literally an arse." Mia whispered as they entered the common room.
They didn't noticed that their friends were looking at them, amused.
"Do you think they're secretly dating?" Savannah whispered.
Remus shook his head. "Nope. Prongs wouldn't handle a day without telling us."
"Besides, Prongs isn't like before. With Mia, he doesn't like to make the same mistake he did with Lily." Sirius said.
"And that is?" Haven asked.
"Moving things too quickly. With Mia, he takes it slow." Sirius explained.
"Hello, boys and girls." Mia grinned. "What are we doing tonight?" she asked.
"Savannah and I are going on a date in the kitchen." Remus quickly answered.
"Haven and I are going to the astronomy tower." Sirius answered. "What about you two?" He asked the Mia and the bespectacled boy.
Mia shrugged. "Probably hang out."
They jumped when they heard three thunderclaps. They stared out of the window, seeing the rain drop.
"We better go before Filch catches us." Remus said, taking Savannah's hand.
"We'll see you later!" Savannah yelled before she was pulled out of the common room by Remus Lupin.
"Us too." Sirius said as he grabbed Haven and they ran out of the common room.
"Well, our friends seems to be having some fun." James said. "Shall we, Mia?" he asked, offering his hand.
Mia rolled her eyes as he placed her hand in his.
"We shall." she giggled.
They were under the invisibility cloak as they made their way to the room of requirements. They couldn't risked being seen by their friends or by any teachers.
"Lumos." James muttered.
"What animal do you think I'll be?" Mia asked.
"I don't know. What's your patronus?" James asked.
"I don't know. I haven't casted a patronus spell before." Mia said.
"Don't worry. Next year you'll be able to do it. You can ask for my help if you need any." James said, casually.
Mia smiled at him, genuinely. "Thank you, James. You're so nice to me."
James chuckled as he removed the cloak. "You're a nice person, De Martel. You deserve to be treated like that." he said. "I'm going to get the potion. Wait here."
"Okay."
James was walking towards where he hid the potion when he heard footsteps. He put the cloak on once again.
"Nox." he muttered.
His eyes widen in shock as he saw Remus, pulling out a potion. He removed the cloak causing Remus to jump and froze.
"What on earth is that?" James exclaimed. "Is that an animagus potion?"
"No, it's not." Remus stammered.
"What on earth are you two doing here?" Sirius asked.
"What are you doing here?" Remus and James asked in unison.
"Is that a animagus potion!?" Sirius asked, pointing at Remus' fingers.
"Can we just be honest with each other? We're friends. Let's just be honest, okay?" James asked and the two nodded in agreement.
"I'm helping Savannah to be an animagus."
"I'm helping Haven to be an animagus."
"I'm helping Mia to be an animagus."
They gasped before they grinned.
"We better get back to the ladies before the storm passes." James said. "We'll tell explain later." James said before grabbing the potion and running back to Mia.
But she wasn't alone. Mia was now with Haven and Savannah.
"Where's Sirius and Remus?" Haven asked.
"And our potion." Savannah added.
"They are right behind me." James said before handing the potion to Mia.
"Sirius! Remus! We're here with James!" Haven yelled.
As soon as Sirius and Remus were back the girls didn't waste any time. They took the potions were muttering the incantation for becoming a animagus. The girls turned into different animals before they knew it, making the boys look at them with a mesmerized look on their faces.
Savannah turned into a beautiful dapple grey stallion with silky hair.
Haven had turned into a pitch black hawk with her beautiful caramel colored eyes.
Mia, on the other hand, turned into a eagle, a purely white eagle.
They had grins on their faces when they turned into human again. They boys were proud of them and proud of themselves.
"You were a eagle, Amelia. A white one. It was beautiful." James said, happily. "Told you, you wouldn't be a fish."
