"Hey, where've you been?" Mia asked, sitting besides Peter. "I haven't seen you much."
"Busy." Peter answered. "My parents are really worried about me, that's why I stay with them a lot."
"Are they alright?" Mia asked, concerned.
He nodded. "They are." he said, smiling. "How are things with you, Mia?"
"Fine as usual, but Haven and the rest of the bridesmaids were stressing out." Mia said, nonchalantly. "But it'll be fine."
"Yeah. The wedding is three days from now." Peter chuckled. "You know, I always assumed that James was the first one that'll get married among the four of us."
"Yeah." Mia said.
"Surprised he hasn't proposed to you yet." Peter said, shrugging. "He loves you very much that I thought he would propose to you during the summer."
Mia rolled her eyes. "We haven't even been together for that long. I doubt that he'll propose right away." Mia said, yawning. "How 'bout you? Has someone caught your attention lately?"
He shook his head. "I don't think I can focus on a relationship with the war happening."
"Guess you're right." Mia glanced at their friends. "I think they're so brave to bring a child into this nasty and cruel world. I can't see myself taking care of my own child while there is a world. "
Peter nodded. "They sure are." he muttered. "Are you and James thinking of having children."
"No. Not really. I love children but I left school, so that I could focus on the Order. I can't have children right now. Not when there's a war."
"Well, what if James wants a baby right now? What are you going to do?"
Mia pursed her lips. "I don't know."
October 20th 1978 was the day of Savannah's and Remus' wedding. The wedding was going to be held at the beach of Florida. Grayson was generous enough to let them borrow the De Martel beach house for the wedding.
"A beach wedding." Haven grinned. "How fancy, Sav."
"Very fancy." Marlene added.
"I'm surprised Grayson let your borrow it for your wedding." Mia said.
"Grayson's very generous, don't you think, Savannah?" Lily asked.
Savannah nodded with a smile plastered on her face. "I'm getting married!"
"You're getting married!" the entourage of bridesmaids yelled out.
"I am going to get dressed." Mia announced, putting down her glass of champagne.
Haven was the maid of honor, so she picked the dresses of the bridesmaids. The dress that she picked her Mia was a teal strapless dress that was tight around her body like a second skin. The length of the dress reached just above her knees.
"Is this really the dress you want me to wear?" Mia huffed as she stepped of the bathroom.
Haven nodded. "Yup. Your boyfriend picked that, by way." she grinned.
"That cheeky git." Mia huffed, pulling her dress down.
"Bridesmaids." Haven hollered. "Partner up with your assigned groomsmen."
"Who's our partner again?" Marlene asked, sheepishly.
Haven frowned. "James is with me, Peter with Lily, Marlene with Maven, and Mia is with Sirius." she repeated. "Go on, now!"
The wedding was going to start during sunset. A few people were only invited to the small wedding. Remus' parents and Grayson. Grayson was officiating the wedding while Damon will giving Savannah away.
"You look ravishing tonight, Amelia." James smirked, wrapping a arm around her waist. "I picked a nice dress, didn't I?"
"Too revealing, though." Mia commented.
"But you're beautiful." James whispered.
"You better go and make sure the groom doesn't get cold feet." Mia said.
He rolled his eyes. "Do you think Moony will have cold feet? I doubt it."
"I don't know. I think everyone gets cold feet on their wedding day." Mia commented. "I'm going to go find Pads." she kissed his cheeks before walking away.
"Why don't you look lovely, Amy." Sirius smiled.
"I know that, Pads. Tell me something I don't know."
Sirius rolled his eyes. "You've gone cocky, do you know that?"
"Line up, mates! Hurry up! Bridesmaids get your bouquet." Haven yelled. "Where the bloody hell is the groom."
"Here!" Remus yelled.
They started to line up with Remus in front follow by Maven and Marlene, Lily and Peter, Mia and Sirius, Haven and James.
"So, Sirius, when are you proposing to Haven?" Mia whispered to the raven hair boy as she held onto his arm.
"I don't know. When's James proposing to you?" he smirked.
Mia didn't get to answer because they went their separate ways upon walking up to the center. Truth be told, Mia wasn't really sure if she wants to get married right away. She loves James but they haven't been dating for that long.
The vows of Savannah and Remus made everyone tear up, including Damon. That was his best friend, after all.
Good things were happening to them these past few months. They just hope that those good things will last. Little did they know, horrible things were heading their way.
