06 | Hello, Brothers
Mia woke up in the middle of the night, hearing footsteps echo, eerily. She grabbed her jumper and put it over her head before clutching her wand in her hand, shakily as she stepped out of her bedroom and followed the footsteps.
She could hear hushed whispered coming from her father's study. She could hear a familiar voice but she can't make out who's voice it is.
"Mia! Wake up! You're going to be late!" Marlene pulled the duvet off.
Mia groaned. "We don't have class today, Marls. Let me sleep."
Marlene rolled her eyes. "Damon is outside. He said he wants to talk to you. Said it was urgent."
"Fine. Can you please tell him I'll be there in 5 minutes?" Mia asked, standing up. Marlene nodded before going downstairs.
Mia yawned as she stretched out of bed. As she changed into some casual clothes she thought about what she dreamt of. The familiar voices from her father's study. She never went inside that room because Adam forbids his children to go inside his study for some reason.
She pushed the thought at the back of her mind as she wore her sneakers before running downstairs. She fell down due to hitting someone's chest.
"Ow." Mia groaned.
James chuckled as he offered his hand which Mia gladly accepted, letting James to pull her up.
"We have to stop meeting like this." James casually said with a smirk plastered on his face.
"I agree." she chuckled.
"Mia, Damon's waiting." Maven said, staring at Mia's hand in James'.
"Right." she quickly removed her hand from the bespectacled boy. "I'll see you both later." she said before walking out the portrait door.
Mia quickly spotted a familiar brown hair boy in a black jumper. Mia smiled as she walked up to him.
"What are you doing here?" Mia asked.
"Nothing. Just missed you. We haven't talked this passed few months because both of us have been busy. So, fancy a butterbeer at the Three Broomstick?" Damon grinned.
"Sure. Let me grab my jumper and can you get Grayson to come along? I miss him."
Damon nodded. "We'll meet you by the courtyard." Damon said before leaving.
Mia said the password to the fat lady in the portrait. She ran up to her dorm, grabbing her favorite gray jumper, layering it with a black trench coat. She tied her brunette hair up into a messy bun before heading out to the courtyard.
"Hello, brothers." Mia grinned at Grayson and Damon.
"Took you long enough, Amelia." Grayson teased.
"Come on, both of you. I want to talk to the both of you." Damon said in a serious tone.
Grayson and Mia raised a brow at him.
"Is everything alright?" Mia asked.
"I'll explain once we get to the Three Broomstick." Damon said.
They were quiet up until they reached the Three Broomstick. Damon went to order butterbeers while Grayson and Mia sat down on one of the booth.
"Do you have an idea what Damon wants to talk about?" Mia asked sounding worried.
Grayson shook his head. "I don't."
Damon sat down next to Mia, placing down three butterbeers on the table. Damon took a deep breath before he spoke.
"I'm dating someone." Damon blurted, making his siblings' eyes widen.
"Who?" they exclaimed.
"I promised her I'd tell the two of you and only the two of you will know along with some of her friends." Damon grinned.
"Well, who's the unlucky lady?" Grayson said making Damon narrowed his eyes at him.
"Fuck off, Gray." Damon flipped him off.
"Just tell us!" Mia exclaimed.
"Lily Evans." Damon blurted out. "I'm dating Lily Evans."
Mia gasped and Grayson grinned.
"Since when?" Mia asked in suprise.
"Since two days ago. Both of you can't say anything to anyone. We're both still keeping it secret because about Snape and the other slytherin." Damon bitterly explained.
"Well, congrats, brother. You've got yourself a good witch." Grayson smirked at his younger brother.
Mia slapped the back of Damon's head, causing him to wince.
"Ow! What was that for?" Damon hissed.
"That was for making us nervous, you bloody git!" Mia hissed.
Grayson laughed at his squabbling siblings. "Merlin, I've missed them."
