28 | It didn't mean anything

Mia De Martel

Fuck this shit.

What the hell just happened? Why did he just kissed me? James Potter just kissed me. He. Bloody. Kissed. Me.

I haven't seen him since he kissed me last night. After he kissed me, I ran and locked myself inside my room. I couldn't process it. James kissed me, he stole me first kiss that I was saving for someone I like or love. Why would he kiss me?

There was a knock on the door before it opened, revealing Haven.

"Hey." she cooed as she sat on the bed.

"Hi."

"Are you alright?" she asked.

I reluctantly nodded. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because you ran when James kissed you." Haven bluntly said.

I frowned. "He told you?"

She nodded and I groaned in embarrassment.

"Wanna talk about it?" Haven asked.

"No because there isn't anything to talk about. Why did he even kissed me?" I asked.

"Maybe he likes you?" Haven said, unsure.

I scoffed. "James Potter loves Lily. Even though he had he's over her, it's completely bullshit." I stated.

Her brows furrowed. "Why?"

"Because you can't just give up easily on a girl you've been chasing for years. At least, James can't. He doesn't give up that easily." I explained. "James Potter does not give up."

"Look, Mia, I don't know the reason why he kissed you. Believe me, I wish I do but you can't let it affect you. It's just one kiss. One kiss is nothing." Haven placed her hand on my shoulder. "Maybe it didn't mean anything." she smiled before leaving my room.

It didn't mean anything. Maybe Haven's right. Maybe the kiss meant nothing. He was drunk and he kissed me and it meant nothing.

I sighed before taking a shower. I wore the jumper Regulus' gave me and a pair of trousers, partnered with black sneakers. I didn't bother drying my hair, I just went downstairs. Mr. and Mrs. Potter were drinking tea.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"Playing quidditch outside." Mr. Potter said.

"How was dinner last night, Amelia? I hope Sirius and James didn't cause any problems last night."

No, not at all until your son, James kissed me.

"Not at all, Mia. Everything went fine last night." I gave them a reassuring smile.

"Good. Can you call the boys for breakfast?" Mrs. Potter asked.

"Okay." I nodded before exiting the kitchen.

They were on their brooms, throwing around the quaffle and into the hoops. They were enjoying themselves, laughing, and smiling.

"Mia said breakfast is ready!" I called out.

"Now, that's something I don't usually hear from Amy." Sirius said which made me roll my eyes.

"Mia, can I talk to you for a moment?" James asked.

"Uhmm... Sure."

James I were left behind while our friends went inside. I was about to say something but he beat me to it.

"Don't say anything, Mia. I don't regret kissing you. I don't regret one bit."
