36 | Happy birthday

It was early morning of the 30th of January. Mia woke up at nine in the morning. She slipped into her sneakers and put a coat over her shoulder. She woke up Marlene, whispering to her that she'll have to distract Lily for the entire day. Lily was still asleep because she studied late last night. Marlene merely nodded before sleeping once again.

Mia went up to the boys' dormitories to see if they have woken up already. As she expected, all of them were still asleep. Mia huffed as she pulled out her wand. She twirled her wand, pulling the duvet off the boys. They groaned and shivered at the coldness of the temperature.

Mia's eyes widen as she saw Sirius, nude in his bed. She closed her eyes as she turned around from them.

"Sirius Orion Black! Why the hell are you nude?" Mia asked with her eyes still closed.

"I always sleep nude, love." Sirius casually said as he put on some trousers. "This is the second time you've seen me naked, Amy. Must be a sign." Sirius smirked.

Mia raised her middle finger at him and they laughed except for James who was glaring at his best friend.

"Get dress, all of you. In case you've forgot, we are going to Diagon Alley today for Lily's party. Hurry up!" Mia said before going do to the common room.

Damon and Lily went public with their relationships a few weeks ago. They had some trouble like slytherins telling Damon that his a blood traitor for being with a muggleborn or Lily being accused of bewitching Damon. They didn't care because the marauders, Grayson, Haven, and Mia had their backs and would prank anyone who dared uttered something bad about the couple.

"Mates, I think Amy just gotten scary this year." Sirius stated.

"I know but she's a badass." Peter said.

James rolled his eyes and Remus looked at him, amused.

"You heard Mia. We better get dressed before she drags us with any shirt on." Remus said.

Together with Mia, they left the common room and went to the room of requirements to meet up with Damon and Grayson and a hufflepuff girl.

"Is everyone here?" Mia asked.

Grayson nodded. "Mia, this is Savannah. The girl I've told you about. Sav, this is my sister." Grayson introduced the two.

Savannah shook her hand, politely as she smiled. "Mia, I've heard so much about you. I starting to think Gray wouldn't introduce me to you." she grinned.

"I was thinking exactly the same thing." Mia chuckled as she pulled her hand away. "Nice to meet you, Sav."

Damon coughed, catching all of their attention.

"We'll have group to complete all the tasks that needs to be done today." Damon announced.

"Pettigrew, Lupin, and Savannah, you'll be in charge of inviting people and decorations. Grayson, Black, and I will pick up the booze and food and gifts. Mia and Potter, you'll get the cake at Honeydukes." Damon assigned. "Don't mess up the cake, Potter."

James faked a smile. "I won't, De Martel."

"God, what is up with all the testosterone?" Savannah whispered to Mia.

Mia shrugged. "I have no idea."

"Let's go." Damon clapped his hands.

They split up to not get caught all together. Grayson, Damon, and Sirius went to the Dark Forest to apparate to Diagon Alley. The ones in charged with invitations, went to the Great Hall. Lastly, Mia and James were hiding under a invisibility cloak as they made their ways to the tunnels going to Honeydukes.

"I still can't believe that you own a invisibility cloak." Mia said as she pulled out her wand. "Lumos."

"Thanks." James muttered as he slipped a arm around her shoulder to keep her close. "What cake are we getting?"

"Chocolate one and the strawberry one. Damon had them reserved a few weeks back. He was panicking about Lily's birthday party." Mia chuckled as she reminisced.

"I still can't believe I'm friends with Lily Evans. The girl who hated me for years."

"And the girl you love." Mia added.

"Loved. Right now, I love her as a friend." James said, truthfully as he glanced at the map. "Here we are." James said, standing below the trap door.

"Carry me up." Amelia said.

"Are you mad, Mia? What if someone sees you?" James asked.

Mia rolled her eyes. "We could always obliviate them." she jokingly said.

"Mia." James warned.

She rolled her eyes. "What's life without a little risk, Prongs?" She asked and James was caught off guard. This was the first time she called him that.

James sighed in defeat. "Fine. Stand on my shoulders." James said before he crouched down.

Mia removed the cloak off them before standing on his shoulders. She slowly opened the trap door before crawling inside. James threw the cloak at her before he climbed up by himself. He put the cloak on them again before walking up the stairs. The went out of Honeydukes, removing the cloak before entering once again.

"Hi, I'm here to pick up the cakes under Damon De Martel's name." Mia politely said as she smiled.

"One chocolate cake and one strawberry one, correct?" The woman by the cashier asked.

The brunette and the bespectacled boy nodded.

"Hold on." The lady said before grabbing the two boxes of cakes. "Here you go."

Mia was about to grab the boxes but James beat her to it. She smiled and muttered a 'thank you' before paying the woman and they made their way back to Hogwarts.

It was eight in the evening, everyone who was invited was inside the room of requirements. They were waiting for Marlene and Haven to bring Lily to the party. The marauders were keeping on eyes out for Lily and the girls.

"Hello, love." Regulus wrapped his arm around Mia's waist, pulling her close.

"Hello." Mia kissed his cheek. "How was your day?"

"Miserable without you." he grinned.

"I'd say the same but my day was fun." Mia bragged.

"Lily's coming!" Sirius yelled.

"Places everyone!" Damon yelled.

"I'll be back." Mia pressed her lips onto his before walking in front of where her brothers and friends were standing.

Once Lily entered the room of requirements with the girls, everyone started to sing the happy birthday song. Lily looked shocked and happy at the same time when she saw her friends. When the song ended, Damon approached her and kissed her in front of everyone, who cheered and whistled.

"Happy birthday, Lily."

All was well that night. They drank firewhiskey, did something they'd regret tomorrow morning but they didn't care, they were young and they deserved to have fun and be happy because that happiness won't last long.
