05 | I find you interesting
"I literally hate this." Marlene groaned.
"I agree with you. I hate writing essays." Maven yawned.
"We just have to finish this before the quidditch game tomorrow because both of you won't have time to do it." Mia glared at the two.
The three fifth years were currently in the library one Saturday afternoon, finishing up their assignments. Mia practically dragged her two best friends to the library to get some assignments done.
"We have quidditch practice in an hour. If we go there late, Potter will have our heads. So can we go?" Marlene asked, grinning.
"No. Finish that essay first." Mia said as she wrote down details for her essay.
Maven groaned as he started to write something on his parchment.
Mia sighed, putting down her quill. "Both of you can go now." Mia said, nonchalantly.
Marlene beamed. "Really?"
"Yup. Go on before both of you arrive late."
"We'll see you at dinner." Maven said before he left the library with Marlene.
Mia continued on with her essay. She was inside the library for another hour, finishing all the assignments given. She placed her books and quill inside her bag before she grabbed a book that Maven gave her and started to read.
"Mind if I take a sit?"
Mia looked up to see Regulus Black right in front of her. She raised a brow at him before nodding. Regulus sat down at the chair in front of her.
"Have you talked to the head boy and head girl?" the boy asked.
"No." Mia replied with no emotion.
He nodded, amused. "Okay. What are you reading?" he asked.
Mia shut her book as she faced the black hair boy. "What are you doing here, Black?"
"Sitting and having a chat with my fellow prefect." he grinned.
"You don't usually talk to Gryffindor. So, why talk to one now?" she asked, suspiciously.
"I find you interesting, De Martel." Regulus casually said.
She playfully rolled her eyes. "You're talking to me because I'm interesting?" Mia scoffed. "You are bloody weird, Black."
Regulus snorted. "I'll take as a compliment, De Martel."
"Anyway, I better get going to dinner." Mia said as she shoved the book inside her bag before she stood up.
"I'll come with you." he said, standing up.
Mia raised a brow at him before nodding along. The two fifth years quietly walked towards the Great Hall together. No one really noticed that they were together expect for Maven who seemed rather concerned on why her friend is with a snake.
"I'll see you later, De Martel." Regulus smiled.
Mia gave him a small smile before sitting down on the Gryffindor table. Maven arched a brow at her.
"What was that?" Maven asked.
"What was what?"
"You with Black." Maven bitterly said.
"We were in the library together and he went here together." Mia nonchalantly said as she started to put food on her plate. "Why?"
"Nothing. Just worried." Maven admitted.
Maven never really liked slytherins because he was constantly being bullied for being a half blood by slytherins. Maven would never say it but he hates them.
Mia rolled her eyes. "You don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine." she smiled. "I promise."
