50 | The Morning After

Mia woke up the next morning earlier than usual. She showered, wore her uniform, and wore make up. She never wore make up except for very special occasions. She made her way to the boys' dormitories. She was thinking they were still asleep but to her surprise, they were wide awake.

"Mia, good morning." Remus greeted with a hit of surprise in his voice.

"Good morning." she greeted.

"We heard about the break up, are you alright?" Sirius asked, full of concern.

"I just broke up with a guy who supports the arsehole who killed my parents, so, I don't know what to feel." Mia truthfully answered. "But, I don't want to talk about that. I want to go prank someone. Let's go and prank someone." she smiled, devilishly.

They dramatically gasped at the brunette.

"Morticia Amelia De Martel, did you just say the sentence I've been wanting to hear from you since the moment we've met?" Sirius asked, excitingly.

"I want to prank someone. I need to get something off my system."

"We'll do that later. Let's have breakfast first." James said.

The marauders plus Mia were making plans for their grand prank later as they walked. Regulus walked by with his friends, he looked in his direction and it made his blood boil that she was happy. She was happy without him. Regulus expected that she looked like a mess after hours of their break up, instead, he saw her smiling and laughing. Regulus couldn't see through the facade she was putting on.

"Still want that blood traitor?" Snape sneered.

"Shut the fuck up, Snape. You fell in love with a mudblood." Regulus sneered.

"Do you know the password to the Slytherin common room?" Peter whispered.

"I knew it before but I don't know right now." Mia answered. "We cannot ask Damon. I do not want Lily to know." Mia said before anyone of them suggested it.

"Fine." Sirius huffed. "I'll try and talk to a first year and ask them."

"Good." James said, grinning. "Mia and I will go inside the slytherin common room and do a little redecorating." he smirked.

Mia glanced at her watch. "I better go. Professor McGonagall are lining up the sixth years outside her office for the classes we are picking." Mia said standing up.

"I'll walk you there." James offered.

"Sure." Mia said with a shrug.

The three marauders looked at them as they walked away, amused.

"Do you think Prongs will make a move, now that Mia's single?" Peter asked before stuffing his face with bacon.

"I don't think so." Remus said, shaking his head.

"The bloke might like Amy but he knows his limitations. He won't go for the girl who just got out of a relationship." Sirius said, nonchalantly.

"Mia, are you sure you're alright?" James asked, concerned for her.

James could see through her. He knows that she's fighting the urge to cry and planning pranks were her way of coping.

"Yes. I'm fine." She smiled, brightly.

"If there's anything I can do, let me know." James said, nudging her shoulder.

"I'll keep that in mind, Prongs."
