56 | The Boys and The Girl
Grayson brows furrowed. "Who the bloody hell is this?"
"What is it?" Gabriel asked. "And stop bloody swearing. My kids are right there." he hissed.
"Sorry but take a look at this." Grayson handed him the photograph "Who are they?"
Gabriel looked shocked. Never in his life had he seen that photograph.
"That's my mother and that man is dad's brother." Gabriel quietly said. "Never met him. He died before I was born."
"That's the man who Mia kept seeing in her dream." Grayson whispered.
"Really?" Gabriel gapped.
The search for the journal was a fail. Gabriel was so sure that it would be at the cottage but he was wrong. It wasn't there.
"That's a bit odd. Why would Austin De Martel have anything to do with this?" Gabriel muttered.
"Maybe he knew something about it. In one of the chapters in grandfather's journal, her mentioned he asked his brother for help. Maybe he knew something." Grayson suggested.
"Of course he knew something, Grayson but he doesn't know where the bloody journals are." Gabriel groaned in frustration.
"Mum! Dad swears in front of us!" Leo yelled.
"Snitch." Gabriel muttered.
Meanwhile at Hogwarts, the students were getting ready to go to the Hogsmeade. The students were lucky that they're allowed to go out of school but Professors were out with them as well.
Mia was with the marauders. Mia wasn't with the girls and Lily was with Damon because they were all asleep and tired which she understands, so she went with the her boys.
"I need to buy some candy." Mia announced, slipping her hands inside the pocket of her coat.
"I'll come with you. I need to buy some chocolate." Remus said.
"Sure. Let's go." she said to Remus. "We'll meet you boys at the Three Broomsticks." she said before walking away with Remus.
"What are you buying?" Remus asked as he opened the door for her.
"Candies, obviously. You know I don't like chocolate that much."
Remus shook his head. "I honestly don't know why you aren't a fond of chocolate."
"It's too bloody sweet. " Mia replied, grabbing all kinds of candies before they head to the counter. "I'll pay for it." she offered.
"What? No. It's fine." Remus said.
Mia rolled her eyes before putting down five galleons.
"Don't. It's fine." Mia said before the boy could even argue.
Remus sighed in defeat. "Thank you." Remus said as he picked up the paperbag filled with chocolate.
"So, Savannah and you have been pretty close lately. Are you two a thing or something?" Mia wriggled her eyebrows with a smirk on her face.
"What? No. We're friends." Remus' ears turned slightly red.
"Yeah. Sure." Mia sniggered as they entered the Three Broomsticks. "Now, where are my other boys."
Remus pointed at one of the booth where the three marauders were talking with Damon and Lily.
"Mia, can I have a word?" Damon sternly asked with a fake smile on his face.
"Uhmm... Sure." Mia answered.
Damon pulled her sister aside to the farthest booth from the marauders and Lily.
"What the bloody hell were you thinking?" Damon asked in a low voice.
Mia furrowed her brows. "What are you talking about, Damon?"
"The fact that you bloody told Black everything that he doesn't need to know." He said through his gritted teeth.
"I trust Sirius, Damon. I had a tell someone because I am losing my mind." Mia said, calmer than she should be.
"Why didn't you talk to me?" Damon asked, disappointed. "You are risking everyone in our family's safety."
"I couldn't because I know you're hiding something from me, everyone is keeping something from me and you couldn't easily read my freaking mind." Mia said, exasperatedly. "I can trust Sirius. He's my best friend."
Damon pursed his lips. "Tell only Black and no one else, got it?" He said before standing up.
"You didn't deny it." Mia said, crossing her arms against her chest.
"What?" Damon asked, furrowing her brows.
"You didn't deny that everyone is hiding something from me."
Damon ruffled her hair. "I know. I lied to you about a lot of things, Amelia but I don't want to lie to you about that. It's the least I can do."
Damon and Lily bid their goodbyes to the boys before leaving while the boys went over to the table where Mia was sitting.
"Seems like you and your brother had a fight." James said, nonchalantly.
"Yeah. Siblings." Mia groaned. "Can I have this?" Mia pointed at James' butterbeer.
"Fine." James grumbled before giving Mia his drink. Mia chugged down the butterbeer in under five seconds.
"I am going to need something stronger than butterbeer." Mia said as she wiped her mouth.
"Let's order firewhiskey." Sirius grinned. "Two shots for everyone."
"Nope. I still have quidditch practice later." James declined.
"Can't drink, Pads. I have patrolling later." Remus said, nonchalantly.
"I don't drink firewhiskey." Peter informed.
"I'd take a firewhiskey." Mia smiled. "I need a break from reality."
"See! Why can't you boys be like Amy here? Bloody adventurous." Sirius grinned before going to the bar to get ten shots of firewhiskey.
"Maybe because both of you are idiots?" James suggested. "And we are adventurous!" he defended
Mia rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I wanna have fun. I'm sick and tired of studying." Mia said, casually.
"Here we go, Amy. Five shots for the two of us." Sirius grinned at he placed five shots of firewhiskey in front of her.
"Are you mad, Pads? She'll get drunk!" Remus pointed out.
"This will be very fun to watch." Peter said, leaning back against his chair.
"I agree with Moony. I don't like carrying the both of you back to the castle drunk." James said, staring at the two with concern.
"On the count of three, okay?" Mia said.
"You are on, Amy." Sirius smirked.
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
