60 | He knows

"Mia is acting odd lately." James informed as he sat down on the Gryffindor table.

"What do you mean, Prongs?" Peter asked, swallowing the bacon he just chewed.

"I don't think she sleeps at all. Look at her eyebags, it's bloody huge. She drinks three cups of coffee a day. I had to stop her yesterday from getting a fourth cup of coffee." James listed down. "I'm really worried about her. She's been odd since she came back from where ever she went."

"I'm sure she's fine." Sirius covered for the brunette. Sirius knows that she's reading a journal, he just doesn't know that Mia found the other journals.

"Maybe we should check up on her." Remus suggested. "I miss her and we've been so busy lately that we don't have time for her anymore."

"Exactly!" Prongs exclaimed.

"Where is Mia?" Peter asked, looking around the table.

Mia was walking down the empty hallway, her head buried down on a Transfiguration book. She was on her way for dinner a hour ago but she got held up with assignments.

"Well, well ." Avery smirked.

Mia didn't look up to the boys, instead he ignored them as she walked. Mulciber grabbed the book from the brunette and throwing it away.

"Hey! Arsehole." Mia hissed. "Look, boys, I don't have time to hex the lot of you. So, can we continue this tomorrow? I'm very much hungry."

"Grab her."

Mulciber and Avery followed Regulus' orders. They grabbed the brunette and dragged her towards the Room of Requirements. Mia was squirming her way off their grasp but that made them tighten their grasp.

"Would you stop squirming?" Mulciber said, irritatedly.

Mia scoffed. "Well, will you stop dragging me against my own will?"

"Listen up, blood trait-"

"Leave us." Regulus said in a low voice, cutting off Mulciber.

Mulciber scowled at him before leaving the Room of Requirements with Avery.

Mia was nervous and scared to be alone with him. Not only is he a deatheater but he has a mission and that mission was her.

Mia had no clue why his mission involved her and a part of her wanted to find out, a part of her didn't want to find out.

"What do you want?" Mia asked, sharply.

"I want to help you."

Mia arched a brow at him. "I don't need help from you." she said.

"Even with your problem?" Regulus smirked.

Mia tensed up. "You must be going mental, Regulus." she commented.

Regulus out his wand and pointing it at her. "Flipendo!"

Mia closed her eyes, she opened her eyes Regulus was smirking at her, devilishly.

"Are you mad? That could've knocked me over!" Mia exclaimed.

"But it didn't."

"Because you casted it poorly, git." Mia spat, trying to act nonchalant.

Regulus stepped closer to her, causing the brunette hit the wall. His hand brushed against the skin of her cheek. He smiled when he felt her froze under his touch.

"I don't cast spells poorly, love." Regulus whispered in her ear. "You still have time to think about reconsidering to take my help. You know where to find me." Regulus placed his soft lips on the side of her face before leaving her, stunned and scared.

Mia was in shocked. She was scared and shocked as she entered the Gryffindor common room. She was quickly greeted by the marauders. She couldn't comprehend what they were saying.

"He knows. He knows about me." Mia said, repeatedly.

Remus, James, and Peter couldn't understand what the girl was saying. They let the girl sit down on the couch as they tried to calm her down.

Sirius, on the other hand, could understand what he was saying but he didn't know who Mia was pertaining to but he did have an idea.

Regulus was on his way back to the Slytherin common room with a smirk on his face.

"Well? Did you test your theory?" Avery asked.

Regulus shrugged. "I don't know. Let's just say, I have an update this coming holiday." he said, smugly.

"We should be thankful to him, then." Mulciber huffed.

Regulus nodded. "Yes, we are very much thankful to De Martel." Regulus said, casually as he sat down.

"I don't trust him." Mulciber said, aggressively.

Avery rolled his eyes. "You don't trust anyone."

"Mulciber, we can trust De Martel. He's one of us. He wouldn't dare to betray us. He's loyal like us. " Regulus said.

"And if he does?" Mulciber asked. "He did betray his brother and sister when he gave us the tip."

Regulus shook his head at his fellow slytherin's ignorance. "He betray them because they chose the wrong side." he replied. "But if he does, then, the Dark Lord will deal with him."
