69 | Ruined
It was the night of December 24. They walked through the tunnels going to Honeydukes.
"Where are you taking me, Prongs?" Mia asked, yawning. "We should be sleeping right now." she whined.
He rolled his eyes. "We are going to have our date, De Martel." James grinned.
"So, where are you going to take me for our date?" Mia asked as they wore the invisibility cloak.
"Somewhere you will love." James kissed the side of her head, making her giggle.
It was a snowy night. James made sure that she was warm enough before they exited Honeydukes. He held her hand before they apparated to Diagon Alley.
She beamed when they arrived inside a loft. Fairy lights were hanging around the room, rose petals were on the floor, and a table was in the middle.
"It's beautiful." Mia said as she admired the decorations around the room.
James can't help but smile at her. James, Remus, and Sirius spent the whole day decorating the place and tried to cook up a meal which ended up being blowing right to their faces.
"Let's eat, shall we?"
Mia nodded before she sat down. "Who's loft is this?" Mia asked.
"It's Sirius'. I borrowed it." James grinned as he flicked his wand, letting the food arrive in front of them.
"Sirius already bought his place?" Mia gapped.
"He did. Quite responsible of him, don't you think?"
"Very responsible of him. What does Mia and Monty think of him leaving?" Mia asked before sipping her wine.
"He hasn't told them yet." James answered. "Do you want to know something?"
"What?" Mia asked, curiously.
"I never would've thought that I would be going on a date with you." James admitted.
"Why not?"
James thought for a moment. "I don't know." he answered. "Just never thought it would happen."
Mia placed her hand on top of his, squeezing it.
"I like you, James."
"I like you too, love."
After they finished dinner, they washed the dishes together before grabbing their coats and leaving the loft.
"Where to now, James?" Mia asked.
"Hold on." James removed his scarf before wrapping it around her neck. "You honestly need to start wearing your scarf." he said before kissing her cheek.
Her face heated up at their closeness. "I know. I just kept forgetting."
James shook his head before intertwining their fingers together as they walked.
They was an explosion that caught their attention. James and Mia pulled out their wands. Masked men were causing the explosion by one of the pubs.
"Deatheaters." Mia muttered, tugging James' coat. "We have to go, James. It's not safe for us. "
James nodded, holding her hand before they apparated back to Hogsmeade.
Mia was breathing heavily. "I'm fine." she said when she saw James lookin at her with a worried look.
James wrapped the girl in his embrace, calming the girl.
"They ruined bloody date night." she huffed against his chest.
James chuckled before kissing the top of her head. "They did, didn't they?"
"It doesn't matter now. We'll have lots of dates in the future." Mia said.
James pulled away a little, looking at the girl with an amused smiled.
"Next? There'll be a next time?" the bespectacled boy asked.
"Of course. I like you, James. How many times do I have to say it?" Mia arched a brow at him.
"Maybe a kiss will do." he teased, pursing his lips.
Mia rolled her eyes before giving him a quick kiss before running away.
"One more! I want one more!" James called out as he ran after her.
"In your dreams, Potter!" she laughed.
He grabbed her wrist, twirling her around to face him. He held her chin up before he smashed his lips onto hers. His hands went from her waist to her hair.
"You are absolutely gorgeous tonight, Amelia."
"You are a amazing kisser." She teased.
"I know." he said, smugly.
"Cocky."
"I know." he smirked.
"Gross."
