Epilogue

I visited my brother Ethan in his office today but he's been busy reading some sort of letters.

Inilibot ko ang tingin sa kaniyang opisina. Maganda naman ang opisina niya pero mas maganda ang akin.

I stopped when I noticed a picture frame on a shelf. This is obviously Ethan's high school self. He's with two girls and a guy who I didn't know he's friends with o baka hindi ko lang natatandaan.

"Who's this?" I said and pointed at someone on the picture frame. This girl with brown hair caught my attention. She's not smiling all the way like the other girl who has black hair but there's something in her that I can't explain. She's very pretty.

How old is she? Same age as Ethan? I don't know. If she is, h'wag nalang pala. I don't date girls younger than me.

Oh, I don't even date anyone.

Nagmamadali namang pumunta si Ethan sa gawi ko at inagaw ang frame sa akin, "Sino diyan?" he panicked.

I glared at him before pointing the girl with brown hair.

Parang nakahinga naman siya nang maluwag at tinapik pa ako sa balikat, "Akala ko si Solstice ang tinatanong mo, kuya."

Obviously, the Solstice he's talking about is the girl with black hair.

"Hindi mo ba siya natatandaan? That's Zaraiah Amory Celeste. Ang ganda 'no? Type mo?"

Zaraiah Amory... nice name, huh?

I looked at him with annoyance, "No." I said and sat back down the couch.

Ethan tsked, "Mag girlfriend ka na kuya. Ang tanda mo na kaya!"

"Just shut up, will you?" I irritatingly said but I just received an annoying laugh from this bastard.

The following day, Ethan asked me to go to TR with him. I couldn't refuse cause that would be disrespectful. Nauna lang siya roon dahil may inasikaso pa ako sa opisina.

It felt so weird because I got so excited getting up earlier. Si Amory agad ang unang pumasok sa isip ko but that's absurd. I can't like a girl that fast so I ignored the thought.

Besides, I haven't seen her in person.

Pagkarating ko sa The Royale ay nanatiling diretso ang tingin ko. May naririnig pa akong tumatawag sa'kin at nagbabalak lumapit pero binibilisan ko ang lakad. Nang makarating sa lamesa ay nagulat ako nang makitang may babae'ng kasama ang kapatid ko.

"Kuya. This is Solstice." pagpapakilala niya sa kasama niya. I remember her. That must be my brother's crush since high school or whatever.

"Hello." I said with my monotone voice and sat on the couch.

"Sungit." narinig kong sabi no'ng Solstice sa kapatid ko.

Siya lang ba ang kasama? Baka kasama rin 'yong isa nilang kaibigan?

Napansin ata ni Ethan ang paglinga ko sa paligid kaya sinipa niya ang paa kong nasa ilalim ng lamesa.

"Amory's not the club type of girl. Hindi mo makikita iyon dito." natatawa niyang sabi sa akin. Remind me to punch this asshole later.

I ignored him and just took the glass of beer from the table.

Kinabahan pa ako kanina, hindi naman pala kasama.

"Do you like my bestfriend?" taas ang kilay na tanong sa akin no'ng babae'ng kasama ni Ethan. Hindi ko siya pinansin at pinagpatuloy ang pag-inom.

"I could help you get her." the girl energetically said. Napahinto ako sa pagsalin ng alak at napabaling sa kaniya.
