Jughead.

Something new rolled into Riverdale. Everyone could feel it. That feeling of being watched around every corner, or that feeling that someone's under your bed grew stronger by every waking moment. We knew that the demons that corrupted Riverdale once more had been vanquished. It was only in a matter of time before our lives would return to how things were, or perhaps change again. Only so few of us are willing to stick around. Though for Archie Andrews, he may have just discovered a reason to. The discovery of something new brewing, could be good, could be bad, but whatever it is, it's about to hit Riverdale once more. The final wave of danger? Could this be it? Fair chance it's not, considering this is Riverdale, a town that is no longer "the town with pep!"

Monday, 2:23 PM, Five Seasons.

Betty & Veronica.

Betty pauses before knocking on the door. "Should I really be doing this? We haven't been real friends in forever, I don't know how to talk to her." She thought to herself.

Betty fixed her posture. "I have to do this." She whispered quietly. She reached for the door, and began to knock.

After a few passing moments, the door swung open past Betty's face.

Veronica let out a smile as she glanced over at Betty. "Betty, what brings you here?" She asked, seemingly as if she didn't want her there.

Betty took a deep breath, and shifted her weight from side to side. "I came here to talk to you. Jughead said we should clear the air between us, and I think he's right." She said softly.

Veronica's face grew to what it should've been when Betty turned up. Just as a moment of silence fell, Veronica stepped back allowing Betty to come in.

Betty took a few short steps inside before she went to say something else. "Look, I never had the chance to apologise for what happened back in high school, and it's really been bothering me lately. I spoke to Jug, and I feel that you need an explanation too, it's only fair that way." She said, moving her eyes around the room.

Veronica crossed her arms, and shifted uncomfortably. "It was all too long ago, frankly, I've grown up, and I don't think I need a proper apology for what happened. Besides, you already gave me one."

Betty interupts her. "Yeah, but I never got a chance to explain myself V. What I did, what Archie and I did, there's no sane reason. When those feelings re-surfaced, they were uncontrollable, I didn't want to hurt anyone, I didn't want to hurt you or Jughead. I tried to run from these feelings, because after everything I still wanted all of us to be friends. Best friends. That's what I would like again, even if we're just friends. I don't want any more bad blood between us. I know the last time I gave you an apology I didn't really mean it, but now I just want my friend back!" Betty sobbed.

Veronica smiled weakly over at her, as she pulled her into a tight hug. "It's okay B, I forgive you. I'm with Jughead now, and I think I'm happy!" She exclaimed, pulling away from Betty.

Betty paused in confusion. "What happened with Chad?" She asked.

Veronica looked down in anger. "He just left, I don't know where he went. What I know is that I don't feel anything for him, I suppose I never really did." She replied.

Betty took another breath in. "There's- there's also something else I need to tell you." She stammered.

Veronica gave Betty a disapproving look. Betty knew that Jughead's reaction was fine, but because the sole reason for her being with Veronica today was to clear the air from the exact same situation made her feel as if she should back down and stop talking before too much came out. Though, it was too late for that, either way, the truth had to be spilled.
