Each of the summer road trips finally fell to a stop, as everyone prepared for what was ahead of them. College. Friends and families said goodbye to their children, tears with happiness and sadness were among them at the time. For Betty and Archie, they had originally planned to do long distance, but not so long after, Archie started ignoring Betty and eventually, it had become total silence. On another note, the situation for Veronica and Jughead was easy, they wanted to stay together and long distance was achievable for them, but over time this plan started to fade and each of them moved on. As the years passed they started growing out of their teenage ways and into the real life of adulthood.

Betty.

Our story begins once again with Betty, having been out of college for some time now, she has found herself working in New Haven at a Clerk's Office. 7 or so years have past and Betty still hasn't heard one word from anyone besides her family and her dear cousin Cheryl.

Betty swiped a large pile of papers off a desk and raced for her car. Placing the papers on another seat she begins driving, making it to the nearest coffee shop. With no time to spare, Betty hurried in. Pulling the door open, she hears a soft jingle, a warm reminder from back home. A cafe that did oddly look like Pop's to help her to remember where she came from.

"Running errands again, Beth?" A woman shouted as Betty approached the counter.

"Sadly. They've got this new case they wanted me to help work in the Clerk's Office, including a lot of late nights." Betty spoke in a fatigued voice.

"That's too bad. I'm sure you will be out of that office soon enough." The woman replied as she passed Betty her coffee.

Betty smiles and makes her way out of the coffee shop. Betty stops as she feels a vibration from her phone. Pulling it out of her pocket she realises that it is Charles.

"Charles! It's been a while. How's everything been?" Betty asked happily.

"Not so good, Betty. I think you are going to need to come home. Your old high school chum, Kevin has been missing for sometime now. We suspect he is dead." Charles responded as if the words were scraping against his throat.

Betty was frozen, shocked to her core as tears started to run down her face as her phone slid away from her ear and down to the ground.

Betty raced to the airport and got on the quickest flight back to Riverdale, but considering there is no airport in Riverdale so she had to make a much earlier stop. As Betty made her way outside the airport she reached for her phone. Blinded by the tears that are still rolling down her face she dials her mother's number who doesn't answer. Betty lifts her head and looks around for a taxi, car or just about anything to get her back home quickly.  From the corner of her eye she spots a truck parked outside of the airport with the blossom family maple syrup logo on it.
