it was early in the morning when the alarm clock went off.

"this is killing me." mark grunts as he turned over to shut it off.

"i need coffee." gwen yawns sitting up with closed eyes.

"four days back to work, and i'm ready to end it all." mark says still in his sleeping positions.

"i don't even know how we survived four days." gwen looked at him confused.

"coffee's on!" they heard callie shout from downstairs.

"that's how." mark points out. "we could stay in bed and enjoy ourselves." mark smirks.

"no. we can't. come on. get up." gwen says getting up.

then they started their daily routine.

gwen changed piper's diaper.

mark changed hailey's clothes.

and callie changed sofia's.

then they all walked down sitting the kids in their highchairs at the kitchen island.

"okay, so daddy is gonna drop you off at day care, and i am going to pick you up, okay?" gwen tells hailey while putting a bowl with milk and cereal down in front of her. "then we'll have a princess tea party at the and of the day."

"okay, ladies, let's go." mark smiles giving gwen a kiss.

"wow. we're good at this." gwen praises them.

as gwen walked to the front door callie stopped her.

"oh, pump." callie gave her the bag that gwen almost forgot.

"yeah." gwen turns around giving callie out of reflex a kiss on her lips.

"maybe we're too good at this." callie states while gwen looked embarrassed and mark only smirked.

then gwen walked out of the door to drive to work.

"james evans, 57, post-op day 6 from an emergent tricuspid valve replacement due to endocarditis." wilson presents the patient chart to gwen and cristina.

"hey could you change it to jimmy?" the older man asks while cristina listened to his heart with her stethoscop. "and go ahead and fix the age, while you're at it, to something in the 40s." he adds smirking and winking at gwen.

"deep breath." cristina tells him while he still looked at the blond.

"is that thing you put in there still working?" jimmy asks gwen.

"i think you're good." gwen replies. "the new valve should last 10 to 15 years."

"dr.wilson's going to do a treadmill stress echocardiogram just to be thorough." cristina informs him.

"thanks, doc." jimmy tells them. "anything to get me out of this dress." he smirks once again at gwen.

"we'll check on you later." gwen assures him walking together with jo and cristina out of the room.

then cristina's phone suddenly chimes.

"oh. unos has a possible match on one of my transplant patients." she informs gwen. "uh, page me with his results."

jo nodded while gwen and cristina walked away.

"so you're doing a heart/liver on samantha calder?" gwen asks her as they walked down the hall.
