gwen couldn't sleep well. she was sad, confused and disappointed. disappointed at herself. how got her life so fucked up.

she was alone.

no mark.

no arizona.

no one.

she felt empty. like no feelings were inside her.

but there were a lot of feelings inside. feelings for mark.

she loves him. but he was somewhat mad at her.

and she could imagine why.

"gwen. come on we have to go to work." callie calls her.

callie picked her up from home.

"i don't want to go to work!" gwen shouts back.

"come on gwen." callie said entering her room. "it's been a week since you were at work."

gwen had took some days off. she just don't want to see arizona or mark. it would be too awkward.

"i'm not gonna go into that hospital where mark and arizona work. or at least not in the next days." gwen tells pulling her blanket over her head.

"gwen, at one point who have to talk to either of them." callie tells her while sitting on the edge of her bed.

"yeah, but what should i tell them. arizona and i are over, so are mark and i."

"oh please. when mark would know that you and arizona were over he wouldn't wait a minute to have you back." callie assures her.

she wasn't wrong. gwen know she was right. plus arizona and her were on good terms. or that's what arizona assured gwen one day after they broke off.

"i don't have to go to work today." gwen repeats.

"and why is that so?" callie asks slightly frustrated.

"because dr.dixon is coming today. the chief wants her as a new cardio attending at our hospital and she is taking over my case." gwen explains.

"you will come anyways, because you will talk to mark. do you understand me?" callie orders her but gwen didn't move. "okay, you know what? i'm done. you will stand up and you will go shower and then you will go to work and will make an good impression by dr.dixon. and more importantly you will go and talk to mark damn it!"

gwen looked at her shocked.

"now get up! fast or do i have to make you?" callie shouts.

"okay. man, calm down girl." gwen says while go to the bathroom.

gwen walked through the hospital doors with callie when she saw derek and mark at the elevator.

"hey, gwen." her brother called her.

"morning." gwen greets back.

"how were your days off?" derek asks her as the four entered the elevator.

"good. i laid in my bed most of the time. and i watched tv and i ate ice cream and drank alcohol." gwen answers. she could feel mark's eyes on her back.

"that sounds horrible." derek chuckles to wich gwen just nodded.

callie and mark stand behind them in the elevator leaning at the wall.

"have you seen arizona." derek asks.

"no. not since i left." gwen sighs.

"because she asked how you felt." derek explaines. "you know, with the break up."
