a lot has happened in the past few months.

some good and some bad things.

on one hand meredith sabotaged derek's trial which of course upset derek and lead meredith to get fired. but on the other hand they started to adopt zola and till now it's doing good.

also derek was building his own house and gwen and mark helped him sometimes.

speaking of, gwen and mark were happier than ever. the baby is just fine.

gwen is now 5 month pregnant and of course you could see it.

mark always talked to her belly. he is so proud about being a dad soon.

"so, do you want to know the gender?" the new o.b, lucy went away to africa, asks them.

they both nodded to the o.b who moved the wand around her belly.

mark grabbed gwen's hand tight.

"it's a girl." the o.b confirms.

"oh, my god. we'll have a little girl, mark. we will have a girl." gwen sobs looking at mark.

"my little girl. i can't wait to meet you." mark whispers to her belly.

"otherwise the baby looks fine. everything is how it's supposed to be. you do great, gwen." the o.b smiled at them.

"thank you." gwen nodded as the o.b handed her the ultrasound photo.

the couple looked at it with admiration. they never thought the dream about having a baby would come true.

after the appointment mark and gwen walked down the corridor past the elevator out of which arizona and callie stepped out.
arizona had sofia in her arms.

"hey." they greets each other.

"you guys going to that breakfast thing?" gwen asks the couple smiling bridely.

"yeah, after we drop her off at day care." arizona replies referring to sofia.

"oh, my god. look at her. she's so beautiful." gwen looked at the baby speaking in a baby voice. "oh, hey. you're so beautiful. and you've got the best mommies. did you know that? yes, you do. oh you do. oh, you so do.

the four stood at the nurses station as gwen took sofia in her arms while the two mommies looked at her confused.

"what's wrong with her?" callie asks mark. "she's unnaturally cheerful."

"we were by the o.b today." mark explains.

"and?" callie asks. "how was it?"

"we're having a girl." gwen smiles as she tickles sofia's stomach.

"oh, my god, that's great. i'm happy for you, guys." callie beams.

"who is your favourite aunt? i am." gwen smiled at sofia.

"a month ago you were in med school being taught by doctors, and now you are the doctors." lexie told the new interns as they walked by.

"oh, new interns." callie states watching them. "i hate new interns."

"seriously?" gwen asks still happy looking at sofia. "i love new interns. they're the future, the next generation, filled with hope and promise, innovation."

"wow. you're really happy." arizona states.

"super happy." gwen nods.
