"hey." gwen greets mark when she saw him in the hospital halls.

"oh. dr.shepherd. hello." he tells her not looking up from his phone.

"what's wrong with you?" gwen asks due to mark's rejection for her.

"me? no, i'm good. i'm good. i'm all good." he tells her not really convincing.

"you've been avoiding me for a week." she states the obvious.

"no. i have not." he dismisses her

"ok, fine. forget it." she said and walks away.

mark exhales deeply as callie approaches next to him.

"i kissed gwen." he confess.

"george has become a sex machine." callie confesses as well.

they looked at each other and then walked into the opposite directions.

gwen was looking into a chart when two interns approached her.

"dr.shepherd, is sex another form of denial?" the blonde one, izzie, asks the attending.

george just chuckled while gwen looked at the two of them.

"what?" gwen asks confused. "what do you know?"

the two interns looked at her confused.

"that.." george, the other intern, stuttert not knowing what gwen meant. "that you have a gyn patient in here that you want us to see."

"that's right." gwen said eyeing the two suspicious. "that's right. i do. shall we?"

then she walks away while the two interns following her confused.

"you've been having pain and bleeding?" george asks jillian, the patient.

"she has. for weeks." her friend, rachel, answers for her.

"it's not a big deal." jillian shrugges.

"i had to drag her in here." rachel tells the doctors.

"on our one day off from the restaurant." jillian complains.

"let the doctors check you out." rachel insisted. "a lot of doctors. she needs three people for a pap smear?"

"actually, it's not a pap smear, it's a pelvic exam. and since this is a teaching hospital, i was going to have one of the interns do the exam. but if you're uncomfortable with that..." gwen start but got cut off by jillian.

"no, it's fine. i'm helping you guys learning something, right?"

"ok. stevens?" gwen stept aside so that izzie could stept forward to examine the patient.

izzie sat herself in front of jillian who had her legs spread open.

"jilly, i'm just going to warm the speculum for comfort, so if you'll just relax your knees." izzie tells the patient while pulling on some gloves.

"you don't have to stay here." jillian tells her friend.

"i'm staying." rachel assures her. "we do everything together. so we might as well do this."

"rachel and i were born two days apart." jillian explains the doctors.

"that's nice your friendship has stayed so strong." izzie chimed in.
