"they've installed cameras." gwen states as she and callie walked into an empty patients room looking up at the ceiling.

the whole hospital has changed. cameras. tablet instead of normal charts.

gwen wasn't really a fan of it but she act like she'd like it.

"they're all over the ccu." callie informs her. "next they'll be in the o.r's, the hallways, the on-call rooms." making gwen's eyes widen. "we're being spied on, gwen. who knows what evil lurks behind that electronic eye?" callie asks while gwen looked confused around the room.

"morning, dr.torres." a male voice suddenly says making the woman froze.

"big brother knows my name." callie realizes.

"big brother can see your name tag." gwen reminds her in a low voice.

"the cameras are not here to spy on you. they are here to supplement you." cahill explains them in a meeting in one of the o.r's. "on the other side of the camera is a remote physician, an extra set of eyes to help reduce mistakes, improve patient care, and maximize physician hours."

but gwen just tuned out cahill's voice as she looked next to her to see mark standing there looking at her as well.

she slightly smirked at him as he smirked back.

he mouthed something like on-call room, to which gwen nodded.

then her mind went back to cahill and her explaining speech.

"and of course, ultimately reduce costly litigation. so does that answer your questions?" cahill asks the crowd.

"with disturbing clarity." gwen politely smiles at her.

"all right. let's move on then." cahill says. "as you can see, this o.r. has been arranged with maximum efficiency, specifically for o.r. turnover. now, what are the main causes for bottleneck? the layout of o.r. supplies, equipment, and instruments. so what we have done here..."

again gwen got distracted from listening to cahill by callie this time.

"what did we miss?" callie asks as she enters the o.r. with arizona.

"o.r.'s are sloppy." richard replies before gwen got the chance.

"there are doctors in the ceilings." gwen adds.

"what? what do.. what does that even mean?" arizona asks confused.

"we'd know if you'd just put her stupid tights on her." callie tells her wife talking about sofia.

"i was talking her into, okay? she was getting on board." arizona tries to defends herself.

"she's two." callie reminds her. "at a certain point, she doesn't have to get on board. she has to be in day care. so you pick her up and you yank her tights on her." callie blurts making gwen chuckle slightly.

"that's what you do. and then she cries." arizona retorts.

"yeah, because you wasted all that time cajoling her, so now i have to be the bad cop." callie says. "if you just made it clear in the first place that she has no choice."

"because when every second counts, you need the most efficient approach." cahill said a little bit louder to shut the two woman up.

"mm. what she said." callie comments to arizona and gwen in a low voice.

"your average time between surgeries is 37 minutes." cahill informs them. "with these new o.r. procedures, i'd like to see that cut in half. thank you, everyone."
