"Give her 1.5 litres of normal saline for 12 hours and 2.4 litres of oxygen on the nasal cannula. Kept the patient covered with a blanket to keep her warm and comfortable." Dr. Nievez told me after treating the patient and she was diagnosed with anaphylactic shock.

After he found out the result of the ECG and blood test the patient had suffered from anaphylactic shock. Her valve is normal, no vegetation observed and her heart produces a rapid electrical signal, tachycardia. Her CBC results are normal except for her WBC which has 24.5 high and the platelet count is 536 high. Her hemoglobin is low as well as her Haematocricit but the other test result were normal such as her fluid and electrolytes and serum.

According to her records, she accidentally ate a peanut which causes all of her body to itch. She encountered an accident on her way home as she felt drowsiness and she loses her consciousness. When she was rushed to the emergency room I observed that her skin is dry and pallor and she was shivering with a rash on her face cause her to feel nauseated and leads her to vomit four times. After several tests on her, she was diagnosed with an anaphylactic shock which was common and could happen to anyone by exposure to an allergen, and in her case, she was allergic to peanuts which she doesn't know.

The whole duration that she was being treated I was the one who assists Dr. Nievez.

"Yes po, doc!" I answered Doctor Nievez firmly.

Panibagong araw ko na naman ngayon para sa clinical rotations. Kailangan kong ma kompleto ang mga kinakailangan kompletohin bago matapos ang semester na ito.

"Watch her carefully," huling sinabi ni Dr. Nievez bago umalis. Tumango naman ako kahit na hindi niya na nakita dahil nagmamadali siya for he has an operation waiting for him.

Inasikaso ko muna ang pasyente at sinigurado na ayos ang lahat bago umalis. Pang ilang rounds ko na 'to ngayong araw at siya ang pang huling pasyente na aasikasuhin ko bago ako mag off-duty.

"Ayos ka lang?" Jenny worriedly asked me. Isa siya sa mga blockmates ko at kasama ko dito ngayon.

"Oo naman, ayos lang ako," sagot ko sa kaniya na nakangiti habang busy sa pag aayos ng mga chart ng ilan sa mga pasyente dito.

These days, I keep myself busy studying and working whenever it's our time to have a duty in the hospital to complete our clinical and I think it's a good thing for me. It's been three days since the last time we met and it's been three days also that I heard his sudden confession to me.

Laking pasasalamat ko na lamang na may mga klaseng hindi kami magka-klase ni Reeve dahil irregular student siya and it's a good thing for me. Kapag clinicals naman ay hindi rin kami nagkikita dahil magkaiba kami ng department.

To be honest, I was startled when he suddenly confesses that he likes me so bluntly and out of nowhere. I didn't expect that he would insert it in the middle of our talk. It was so sudden for me which my brain couldn't process it.

Ni hindi ko nga alam kung ano ang magiging reaksyon ko sa mga oras na 'yon. Hindi ko rin siya binigyan ng sagot dahil kahit hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin kayang iproseso ng utak ko.

And in those three days ay panay ang text niya sa akin pero ni isa sa mga message niya ay hindi ko binuksan.

"Hindi mo ata kasama si Kyzyr na kumain sa cafeteria kaninang lunch?" nagtatakang tanong niya sa akin.

"Nasa ibang department siya naka assign ngayon eh at isa pa baka busy siya ngayon kaya hindi ko na pinuntahan."

Mabuti nga at hindi kami nasa iisang department at madali lang sa akin ang pag-iwas ko. And I know I can't avoid him forever magkikita at magkikita pa rin kami kahit anong iwas ang gagawin ko. It was just right now, I don't know what to tell him when even I, can't figure out what I was feeling.
