After about 10 minutes of waiting, I see Colby's car turn the corner. "Finally." I sigh to myself. I wait on the sidewalk as he drives closer, then parking next to me."Jordan, what happened?" Colby asks in concern, getting out of the car. "Doesn't matter. Do you have water?" I ask. "Um, yeah but it's super warm wh-" Colby answers, me cutting him off. "Perfect. Can you pour it on me?" I ask. "Pour it on your?" He repeats in confusion. "Yes. This is sticky, and I hate being sticky and I need you to pour the water on me." I say frustratedly.
"Oh, um o-okay yeah." Colby says, opening his door quickly and grabbing the water. As he searches for the warm bottle of water, I take everything out of my pockets and put them on the top of Colby's car.
"Here it is." Colby says. I hear a slight crunch of plastic, and he begins to back up. "Alright so pour it on your head?" He asks. "Where the coffee is and on my hands." I say. Colby looks down to my chest and to my legs, observing the spilt and splattered drink I'm covered in. "Okay." Colby sighs, raising both his eyebrows.
I close my eyes, soon to feel a warm liquid flowing onto me. "All of it?" Colby asks. I open my eyes and nod, then putting my hands into the stream of water and rubbing them together.
Once all the water was gone, I started rubbing it into the clothes, trying to get as much coffee and stickiness out as possible. Colby watched in confusion as I did this. "Do you want to take a shower at my house?" He asks. "Oh god, yes please." I say. "Alright, I'll take you there then." He says.
I dry myself off slightly as I could, and hopped into his car, bucking myself in. He starts the car, and drives off.
"I don't want to make you more upset than you already are, so I'm not going to ask what happened. But if you want to tell me, that's okay too." Colby says after a long moment of silence. "No, it's fine. I'll tell you." I sigh.
"Okay. Well, what happened?" He asks. "You remember me telling you about those 3 girls that would come in everyday, and they were total assholes?" I remind. "Yeah." He says, looking at me and back at the road. "Well I guess they decided to be extra bitchy today, because I'm the outcome." I say with a sarcastic smile.
"Jeez, I'm sorry Jordan." Colby says sadly. "Eh, don't worry about it. At least I've got a good story to tell." I say smiling. "Yeah, I guess so." He chuckles. "Why don't we play music?" He suggests, holding his fingers above the radio. "Yes." I agree. He clicks the button, and begins to play a random song. I've never heard this one before, but I liked it.
Run away-ay with me
Lost souls in revelry
Running wild and running free
Two kids, you and meAnd I say
Hey, hey-hey-hey
Livin' like we're renegadesHey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Livin' like we're renegades
Renegades
RenegadesLong live the pioneers
Rebels and mutineers
Go forth and have no fear
Come close and lend an earAnd I say
Hey, hey-hey-heyLivin' like we're renegades
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Livin' like we're renegades
Renegades
RenegadesAll hail the underdogs
All hail the new kids
All hail the outlaws
Spielbergs and KubricksIt's our time to make a move
It's our time to make amends
It's our time to break the rules
Let's beginAnd I say
Hey, hey-hey-hey
Livin' like we're renegades
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Livin' like we're renegades
Renegades
RenegadesIt sounded rather familiar, but I know for a fact I've never heard this before. Either way, it was a good song. I'd have to find it later.
A bit later, we finally got back to the house. Everyone seemed to be gone except for Sam. I remembered their cars strangely enough.
Colby parked in his spot, stopped the car, and unlocked the doors for us to get out. I opened my door, and hopped out of the car, waiting for Colby. I walked to the front door with him and watched as he opened the door. "You can just grab anything from my closet again and go shower." Colby says. "Okay, thanks." I say with a nod. I walk inside and quickly run up the stairs, into Colby's room.
Colby POV:
Jordan had just sprinted upstairs as I hung my keys on the wall. Closing the door, I hear Sam call out something.
"Was that Jordan?" He asks from the kitchen. "Yeah." I answer. "Why did she just sprint up the stairs. Does she have diarrhea or something?" He questions jokingly. "No." I laugh, walking over to the kitchen. "She had an incident at work and there's a bunch of coffee on her shirt. I told her she could take a shower." I tell Sam. "Oh, well do you know what happened?" He asks. "In a sense." I say. "You'll have to ask her yourself. She didn't really tell me everything." I say. "Oh, okay." Sam says.
"But she did make me pour water on her." I say. "She's strange." Sam says, shoving some cheetos into his mouth. "That's why I like her." I say with a smile. "Dude, it's been like 2 days. You can't have a crush on her already." Sam jokes. "You know what I mean." I say with a roll of my eyes.
"You want some cheetos?" Sam asks me, holding one out. "Sure." I say. "Do we have cream cheese?" I ask. "Why would we need cream cheese?" Sam wonders. "Have you never had cheetos and cream cheese?" I ask in shock. "No dude, that sounds disgusting." Be says. "Dude, it's so good you have to try it today." I say. "Fine, but if I throw up on you that's your fault." He chuckles.
I pull out the cream cheese from the fridge, and let sam dip his cheeto in the container. Hesitating, he puts it in his mouth and starts slowly chewing. His disgusted face soon goes away, and turns to a smile. "This is great." He says happily. "What did I tell you." I say, grabbing a handful of cheetos.
While Sam and I eat, we here the showet turn on upstairs.
"Hey, where is everyone by the way?" I ask Sam. "Oh, they went out to eat. I had to edit so I just stayed here." He informs. "Oh okay. When did they leave?" I ask. "Not too long after you guys got back." He says. "Hm, okay." I say.
