I put on the baggy, black hoodie as Colby wanted me to. He watched as I lifted my arms and slid my head through the neck hole. I adjusted the bottom and flattened out the minor wrinkles so it was more comfortable. "See? There you go." He says with a smile. I roll my eyes with a smirk following along after.

I look down at his arms, and noticed thousands of little goosebumps all over. He was definitely cold, but he didn't want to show. I giggled at the fact.

"What?" He questions, taking out his keys. "Nothing, nothing." I say with a smirk. Jake was already at the car, waiting for us. I stood behind Jake while waiting for the back passenger doors to open and unlock. As I open the door and begin to get inside, Jake stops me. "Wait, why don't I sit in the back?" He offers. "Are you sure? I mean, I'm fine with either." I say. "No, no. Come on, sit in the front." He tells me. I switch places with Jake, smiling as I walked past him.

I hop into the front passenger seat, and close the door as Jake does the same behind me. "Ready?" Colby checks. "Yes sir." I say, buckling myself in. "Alright, let me know which way to go." He tells me. "Will do." I say.

The boys and I all talk, whilst I tell Colby which ways to go to get to my apartment. After about 20 or 30 minutes of driving, we finally arrive.

"Is this it?" Colby asks, pointing to a small complex to his left. "Yep, that's it." I say. I unbuckle my seatbelts and wait for him to park the car. "You want us to walk with you?" Jake suggests. "Sure." I say with a smile.

All three of us hop out of the car, and the boys follow me as I walk to my apartment. "Oh hello Toast!" I say happily, as a tan colored cat walks up to me. I bend down and begin to pet the top of his head. "Is this your cat?" Jake asks, kneeling down with me, Colby doing the same. "No, but he's the complex stray. Everyone here loves him." I explain. "Well he is very sweet." Colby says, scratching the back of Toast's ear. "Yeah, he is. I'm his favorite person around here though, which is nice to know." I say happily.

"Why is his name Toast?" Jake asks. "Well, I named him that actually. Everyone knows it now, but when I first moved in I had put some stuff outside, and my toaster was one of those things. I went inside, and when I came back out he was just sitting on the toaster and wouldn't get off." Say, scratching on the sweet animal's chin.

"That's funny." Colby says with a smile. "Yeah." I agree. "Alright buddy, I love you but I've gotta get home." I tell Toast. He meows as I stand up, and begins following us as we walk away. "Looks like he doesn't want us to leave." Colby says, looking back at him. "Yeah, I'll just let him inside." I say. "You can do that?" Jake asks. "Yeah, but no one can know about it. Everyone let's him in their house but no one snitches on eachother." I say. "Wow, nice people here then." Colby says. "Yeah, in a way." I say.

I walk up the stairs, with Colby, Jake, and Toast following. As I reached the top, I headed over to my apartment number, and went to pull out my keys. The only problem was, I don't think I had them.

"No no no." I mutter to myself, patting all my pockets, putting my hands in all of them. "What?" Colby asks, sounding slightly worried. As I repeatedly pat my pockets, hoping to find my keys, I come to the conclusion that I don't have them with me. "Fuck." I groan, lifting my head up, then smacking my forehead on my door.

"I don't have my keys. I left them in my car, I remember now." I say gloomily. "Oh, shit." Jake whispers. "Do you have a spare?" Colby asks. "No, I don't." I sigh in frustration.

The three of us stand in silence for a moment, until Colby speaks up again. "You could stay at the house?" He offers. I instantly lift my head up, and begin to think. "Colby I've only known you for a day, are you sure?" I ask. "Like I said earlier, I know I can trust you." He says. "Right?" He adds. "Yes." I reassure, with an added sigh.
