Colby and I chill on the couch for a bit more, until the front door opens once again. "Hey, we are back!" I hear Sam call. I could hear someone else with him, which I figured was his girlfriend. Both Sam, and another girl that looked particularly familiar came into the living room. The girl stopped once she saw me, and slowly brought her hand up, pointing to me.
"I know you from somewhere." She says. "Me too." I agree. I think about it for a while, until it hits me. "Katrina! Starbucks girl!" I announce. "Jordan!" She says happily.
Katrina would come into Starbucks every other day, and I would always be there to take her order. I had Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday off. So I would only see her two times a week, but it just became a usual thing.
"Wait you guys know eachother?" Sam asks, confused. "Yeah, Jordan works at the Starbucks I go to. I see her like twice a week." Katrina says. "I've never had Starbucks." Colby interrupts. "This is not about you Colby." I joke. "Wait, what are you doing here?" Katrina asks, sitting next to me. "I'm going to have to explain this everytime I meet any of your friends aren't I?" I question. "Yeah, probably." Sam says.
"So, basically I met Sam and Colby at the beach yesterday. The only reason I did really was because I recognized them from somewhere, but I couldn't figure out where and it was really bugging me. So I walked up to Colby, remembered I saw him and Sam from vine, blah blah blah. We talked for a bit, I got a picture with them, and they left. Then like an hour after, I decided to leave and as I was leaving, I found Colby's wallet." I explain. "So today I returned it and Colby let me hang out for a bit." I finish.
"You could have just said you found his wallet and brought it back to him." Sam suggests. "Well then it wouldn't really make sense." I say. "Yeah, okay I guess." Sam says, looking down at his phone. "Well that's cool. So are you all like, friends now?" Katrina asks curiously. I turn to Colby and Sam, waiting to see what they say. Both the boys smile, and respond for me. "Yeah, I guess so." They say simultaneously, a smile brushed across their faces.
My very first thought, was just, holy shit, I have friends. I was beyond happy, but I tried my best to not show too much of it.
Kat, Sam, Colby and I all talk for a while. Katrina pestering Sam to put his phone away, as he continues to ignore her request.
"So Sam, Kat, guess what." Colby starts. "Hm?" Sam asks. "Jordan filmed her first video today." Colby says, a smile creeping upon his face. "What?" Kat and Sam question, smiling along with Colby. "Well, kind of. I was in Corey's video, I chased them around with my dong." I say. "What?" Katrina laughs. "Wait till he posts the video, you'll see." Colby says. "But I don't watch his videos." She whispers. "What? Wooow, some friend." Sam says, faking a sad, annoyed tone. "I'm just kidding, I watch everyone's videos." She says.
"Wait, Jordan, what is your opinion on YouTubers? Did you want to be in the video?" Katrina asks. "I love it. I wasn't necessarily planning on being in his video, but it just happened, and it was really fun." I say happily. "I've actually always wanted to be some type of creator. Specifically a YouTuber. But I've just never been able to." I explain. "Well good news for you, if you're friends with everyone here, you'll have a good chance at achieving that." She encourages, smiling happily. "She's not wrong." Colby adds, winking at me.
The day was amazing. I had made literally made 7 friends within the span of 4 to 5 hours. All of them were amazing. As time went by, it reached 5:00 PM. Everyone was downstairs, talking and having fun. Thankfully, everyone seemed to really like me. Devyn seemed to be a bit shy at first, but after a while she started getting more social towards me. "Dinner was in like another 2 hours, and apparently tonight was the house's family movie night. I figured I would just leave then.
"No, there is no way we are getting that." Elton says. "Why? It's just Panera Bread." Sam says. "Who in this entire house, would want Panera Bread for dinner, when there is stuff like Taco Bell, McDonald's, In-n-out, shit even Tender Greens." Elton says, chuckling slightly. "I'm gonna have to agree with Elton on this one, sorry man." I say, rolling back and forth on a pennybaord that was sitting on the floor. "Thank you." Elton says. "Why are we even worrying about it right now, we don't eat until like 7:00." Aaron says, a bit confused. "That's a good point." I say. "Let's just figure out what to get, and then go get it when it's time." Elton suggests. "Well how are we going to figure that out, we all want different things." Sam says.
We all stay silent for a minute, until I think of something. "Oh! I have an idea." I announce. "Go ahead." Colby says. Everyone turns to me as I explain my plan. "Why don't we make it into like a game. So we write down different options, and then we all write on a paper what we want, but choosing from those options. Then we put the little papers in a hat, shake it, take them out, and whatever has the most votes wins." I explain. "Finally someone in the house who is smart." Elton says, smiling. "Alright, I'll go get paper." Sam says, walking into the garage. "No Panera Bread!" Everyone calls. "Yeah yeah!" Sam shouts back.
Sam comes back out around 5 minutes later, with a bunch of strips of paper, and pencils. "Did you cut the paper?" Aaron asks. "Yeah." Sam says. "Okay, so what are our options?" Sam asks, getting his pencil ready. "Well Jordan came up with the idea, so why doesn't she pick?" Colby suggests. "Yeah, sounds fair." Elton says. Corey, Devyn, and Kat mainly just observed as we talked about dinner, and came up with this. "Okay, first thing." Sam says. "In-n-out." I say quickly. I wait for Sam to finish writing it down, and tell him all the other suggestions until we just have to write what we want.
I said In-n-out, Burger King, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Tender Greens, Chipotle, and KFC. I don't really like Chipotle or Taco Bell, but I know a few of the roomates do, so they had a choice. "Alright, everyone write something down." Sam says, hanging us pencils and paper. I wrote Tender Greens on my paper, and put it in Elton's hat that he was holding. I had never actually had it before, but I remember Colby saying earlier that he really liked it, so I thought I could try. That is if it gets picked. Once everyone put their papers in the hat, Elton shaked it around a little and started reading the papers, while Sam kept count. "Burger King." Elton announces. I could see Corey smirking out of the corner of my eye, realizing that was his choice. "Tender Greens." Elton says. He continues the count, and Tender Greens and Burger King tied by 2. "So what now?" Colby asks. "We choose between the two." I say. "Who votes for Burger King?" I ask. Corey's hand quickly shot up, along with Katrina's, and Aaron's. "Tender Greens?" I question. I rose my hand, along with Colby, Devyn, Sam, and Elton. "Looks like Tender Greens wins." I say, smirking. "YES! LOSERS!" Colby shouts. He starts running around the house, laughing like a little girl.
Colby calmed down, and sat back on the couch, as if nothing happened. "That was more magical than Santa's shiny shlong." I say. Everyone instantly starts bursting out with laughter, especially Corey. "Santa's shiny shlong!" He repeats, laughing as his hands cover his mouth slightly. I smiled widely, with realization that they thought I was funny. It made me really happy. I'd always been insecure about my humor, because I could only make Andie laugh. But this, was definitely more magical that Santa's shiny shlong.
