Just a Dream

I kept my back against the wall with my phone I'm hands. Nothing was entertaining, so I ended up constantly switching between apps to realize I had a Snapchat notification from Colby. He sent me a photo, I still don't know how I didn't see it. I always have Snapchat notifications on. But right after seeing it, I clicked without hesitation to open up to this.

Instantly I took a screenshot which blasted the noise through my phone speakers. I always hated that. What was the point? Obviously we know we are taking a screenshot if we press the buttons to do so. It's annoying enough with a picture, why add it for this too? I'm not the smartest when it comes to phone settings so I'm not even sure if we can turn the noise off.

Abruptly, I moved my head in all directions to see if anyone was looking. Thankfully no one was, but two boys definitely heard.

Footsteps came from behind me as I turned to see the blonde and the brunette duo standing beside me with looks of both confusing and what looked to be a sense of fear. I pushed my head inward in surprise to see their rather unusual reaction to a screenshot noise, but went on to find out why.

"Uh, you guys alright?" I chortled in confusion.

Colby cleared his throat awkwardly and shifted his vision towards my phone before speaking. Unintentionally I still had that picture Colby had sent me on my screen. A grin grew on his lips as he glanced up at me then back down to his selfie. I quickly realized, that he had realized I screenshoted him and his koala. Blood rushed to my face as not only Colby had put the pieces together, but so did Sam.

My embarrassment was visible considering my finger turned into a track runner clicking through all different apps, and I had looked as if I were cosplaying Mr. Krabs.

Sam gave Colby this look, in which Colby gave Sam a look, in which Sam gave Colby another look, and on and on. I could tell they were trying to talk to each other telepathically, and it was clear they both understood exactly what the other was wanting to say.

  Colby POV:

Sam and I had just had a very serious conversation, that had to do with Jordan. We weren't done, but there wasn't much else to talk about. Out of nowhere this noise came from the other wall which sounded like someone took a picture on their phone. Me and my blonde buddy went to see what it was, to find Jordan standing against the wall looking around.

Shit, did she hear us? I wondered.

She didn't seem to be acting very weird when she saw us, other than the fact that I was in her phone screen. Soon it clicked that she had taken a screenshot of the picture I sent to her earlier today.

I became flustered which led to light blush setting on my cheeks. Thankfully neither Sam nor Jordan had noticed.

As she scrambled through her apps trying to play it off (which in fact did not work) Sam tapped on my shoulder. He gave this look, and I knew exactly what he was trying to say. From then on we were arguing without saying a word.
