Hearing Back

Small breathy giggles were sent through Colby and Sam's ears as my smile was set widely while I waited for a reaction. It took a good few second before the boys both slowly pulled away and looked at me with both confusion and frustration. Their glances shifted between me and each other both trying to telepathically understand what I just said. I raised my eyebrows more the longer this went on, waiting for an audible reaction. Realization set in the two as knowing gasps were made.

Andie was in no way hiding back her amusement from the situation which did not much help my part considering I began laughing in the boy's faces.

My head was tilted down, eyes shut as laughter and those dreadful squeaks of mine escaped my throat. A hand was placed over my mouth stopping me from making noise.

Cold metal sat against my face slowly becoming warmer due to the temperature of my skin. Colby was the one with his hand over my mouth, I could tell by the rings. He lifted my face up which was as red as his car. He didn't let go nor did he speak. Judging by Sam's expression he was quite confused.

Andie stood behind them struggling to breathe from laughing. Every now and then we would hear a giggle come from her but for the most part she kept it quiet.

It began to settle to an awkward silence between us three, if nobody else was going to break it then I had to.

I opened my mouth up, stuck my tounge out and licked the inside of Colby's hand. He pulled away rubbing his hand frantically on his pants. He wanted to stay upset but thanks to me I didn't allow that. I managed to get a laugh out of Sam as well.

"What was that for?" Colby giggled.

His smile lit up my heart, I haven't seen it since I left earlier today.

"You water boarded me, I did what I had to." I shrugged. Colby grinned in confusion. "Fine, you skin boarded me."

Laughs were sent through the apartment thankful to my joke. I have a special ability to brighten up the mood no matter how upset somebody was. You know how that is? Humor. Luckily I have a sense of it. Normally I'm not the best at comforting people, that is without using humor to distract some one. If someone is crying and making jokes doesn't work, I'm out of anything. At that point I'll be asking if they're constipated because I don't know what else to do.

The three had settled themselves down and began to focus more on the actual situation.

"Wait, so.. we fell for it?" Sam questions.

My smile brightened as I readied myself to tell the truth. "Indeed you did boys, indeed you did." I repeated. "The interview went amazing. I'm almost positive I'm getting this job."

Sam and Colby went immediately from confused to thrilled. Their mouths opened wide letting out gasps of happiness as their eyes sparkled. Soon I was being engulfed in a hug by the pair, making it hard for me to breathe. Andie rushed in and wrapped her arms around the boys turning it into a full group hug. I managed to get a few good deep breaths before they realized I was practically suffocating.

Joy radiated through the room as my three best friends congratulated me with hugs, high fives, you name it. Everything in this moment was perfect, and something I definitely wanted to remember. I took a mental recording of every second.

  - Time Skip -
It's been two days since my interview and not much has changed since then. Andie is leaving in 2 days unfortunately, which is kind of a bummer but of course she has to go back home. Her and I talked about her moving out here at some point but for that to happen it is going to take a bit. Something I find quite cool, I painted my nails for the first time in years. Well, I didn't paint my nails I had Andie do it for me. She's far better at that stuff than I am. The colors were red and black in an order. It went red, black, red, black, red on both hands. With my rings and chain bracelet it looked kind of hot.
